Why Early Access?

“We are using Early Access to develop Cat Screen together with the community. Since the game is an interactive desktop experience, real player feedback is essential for optimizing background performance, refining multi-monitor support, and improving cat behaviors. During Early Access, we plan to expand the game with new mini-games, more animations, and exciting new features.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Cat Screen is planned to remain in Early Access for approximately 3–4 months. We plan to support the game with updates, additional content, and gameplay improvements, taking player feedback into consideration throughout development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our current goals for the full release include expanding the selection of cat breeds and adding more variations to their animations and daily routines. As promised in our continuously updated roadmap, we aim to introduce new mini-games and deeper customization options that will allow players to further personalize their unique desktop style.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version offers a fully playable, system-friendly, and stable experience. Players can currently feed, pet, and name up to 18 cats on a single screen, featuring over 30 charming animations (sleeping, eating, playing, etc.). The game already supports multi-monitor setups, includes two different mini-games to boost your score, and features a fully active weekly online leaderboard.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. There are no plans to increase the price after the full release. The game will remain at the same price to ensure accessibility for all players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve the community by closely monitoring player feedback through the Steam Community Hub and reviews. Suggestions related to new cat animations, mini-game ideas, UI customization, and multi-monitor performance will directly influence development. Our goal is to shape Cat Screen together with its players to create the ultimate virtual pet experience.”

About This Game

Cat Desktop

Desktop Cats brings a cute and lively experience to your desktop with a world full of 3D cats. Using only your mouse, you can feed, pet, name your cats and watch them walk, sleep, eat, drink, and play through charming animations. Thanks to its minimal menus, the game never distracts you, runs smoothly in the background, and consumes almost no system resources. It can be played on a single screen or across multiple monitors at the same time, supporting up to 18 cats on one screen.

Earn points as you play, boost your score with two different mini-games, and take your place in the weekly updated online leaderboard. With over 18 different cats, more than 30 animations, and customizable cat and window sizes, every player can create their own unique desktop style. Love, feed, and grow your cats to become the best cat owner! A continuously updated roadmap promises new mini-games, more animations, and many exciting features coming soon.
