Why Early Access?

“BitRacer is released in early access because we want to be able to gather as much feedback on the game as we can in order to be able to release the best game we can as soon as the full version comes out.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“BitRacer is planned to be in early access for no longer then a year, but if delays do occurr, we plan to let the community know as soon as possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the Early Access version, players can race against AI in singleplayer, attempt time trials, or compete with others online across several vehicle classes and track types.

We plan to expand the game with more vehicle classes, a career mode where players progress through different classes from the bottom to the top, and a BitTv feature that lets players watch AI races they configure themselves, complete with elements of a real race broadcast. Additional race modes, track variations, and improvements to AI and multiplayer systems are also planned to provide more variety and depth in the racing experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of BitRacer allows players to race in singleplayer against AI, attempt time trials, and compete in multiplayer online matches. Several custom vehicle classes are available, and races can be customized by laps or duration.

Tracks include both circuit and rally-style courses, providing a range of racing experiences. While the core gameplay and vehicle handling are in place, some features such as advanced AI behavior, additional vehicle classes, and planned race modes are still in development. Players can expect a playable, functional racing experience while we continue refining and expanding the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the final version will have a price increase, the price will only increase once the game moves from early access to the final version. At no point before that will the price change.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve the community throughout BitRacer’s development. Players will be able to provide feedback on gameplay, AI behavior, vehicle handling, and race modes, which will help guide improvements and refinements.

There will be multiplayer races hosted by us especially to gather as much feedback as we can on (new) features.

About This Game

BitRacer is a top-down racing game with arcade-style physics that supports both singleplayer and multiplayer. In singleplayer, players can race against AI or challenge themselves in time trials, while multiplayer lets players compete with others online.

The game features several unique custom vehicle classes such as: FCar, FECar, GT, GTE, Enduro, and Lawn Mower Racing, with more being added as we go. Each with distinct handling and characteristics. Races can be customized by the number of laps or total duration, allowing players to create short sprints or longer sessions.

Tracks include traditional circuits as well as rally-style courses, offering different challenges and race experiences. The focus is on varied racing and customizable sessions, giving players the freedom to set up races that suit their preferences.
