About This Game

Charlatan is a roguelike deckbuilder played on a haunted slot
machine. Spin the reels, rig them with:

• magnets,

• stickers,

• forged tickets,

and snowball small wins into big payouts.

Every win lets you upgrade your deck. Give your cards active abilities and use them at the right moment to turn a bad spin into a winning one. The more you upgrade, the less you leave to chance.

Pick a soul before each run. Every soul starts with its own abilities, so no two runs play the same and each one asks for a new strategy. Find the soul that fits your style, then see what happens with another.

Six locations - you choose the right order. Watch where your build is heading and plan a route that suits it, because each of the 24 bosses brings nasty abilities of their own. A smart route can win the run before the first spin.

Every move counts, and you can even expand the board itself. We spent ages on the balance so every run can snowball into combos that feel downright illegal. Which is fine. You’re the Charlatan. That was the plan all along.
