What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are adopting Early Access to gather genuine player feedback, continuously refine gameplay and content, and work together with players to polish a more complete and enjoyable full version.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About a month”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to build upon the Early Access version with the following features:
Office Chaos – Multiplayer Mode
A 2-4 player online mode is planned to be added, supporting friend parties or random matchmaking for an "Office Battle Royale":
Slacker Battle: Players take on the role of employees competing to maximize "slacking efficiency." They aim to complete slacking tasks (such as secretly watching shows or playing games) between the boss’s inspections, while using "interference items" (like "fake pop-up alerts" or "colleague betrayal") to sabotage opponents. The player with the highest slacking score may win.
Boss Hunt: One player acts as the boss, while others are employees. The boss may need to catch all slacking employees within a time limit, while employees try to avoid inspections and cover for each other, creating a hilarious "cat-and-mouse" confrontation.
Winning online matches could unlock exclusive skins (such as the "Slacker King" or "Iron-Fisted Boss" sets), potentially enhancing social interaction and fun.
Career Progression System
A character progression system is planned to be introduced, adding long-term goals to level progression:
Career Advancement: Players may gradually advance from "Intern" to "Full-Time Employee → Supervisor → Manager → CEO." Different ranks could unlock exclusive skills (for example, an intern might "hide in the restroom to slack off," while a CEO could "remotely command employees to work").
Skill Tree: By earning "Career Experience" from levels, players may unlock skills such as "Slacking Mastery," "Acting Pro," and "Counter-Reconnaissance," which could boost level-clearing efficiency (for instance, "Acting Pro" might make fake work actions more convincing and reduce the chance of being caught by the boss).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You may refer to the content in the About this game section on the store page.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This will not change—the game will always be free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will collect feedback through multiple channels, regularly share development progress, host community votes and co-creation events, and incorporate valuable suggestions into updates. This allows players to directly participate in refining gameplay, levels, and content, and help improve the game together.”

About This Game

Introduction to Office Chaos: Battle for Slack

Office Chaos: Battle for Slack is a brain-teasing puzzle game centered on the core meme of "office slacking." With exaggerated cartoon visuals and dark humor, it turns the daily "cat-and-mouse" games of office life into a hilarious puzzle-adventure experience.

Core Gameplay: Double Life, Hilarious Challenges

The game offers a variety of meme-driven modes that let you jump between different roles and rules:

  • Employee Mode: Play as a slacking office worker, completing absurd objectives like "pretending to work" and "sneaking in breaks" right under your boss’s nose. For example, disguise short video browsing as reviewing reports, or hide a game console inside a coffee cup.

  • Boss Mode: Step into the manager’s shoes and use your eagle eye to catch slacking employees. Deploy tactics like "surprise inspections" and "performance PUA" to maintain office order.

  • Other Modes: Experience even more chaotic challenges like "Overachiever Colleague Mode" and "Midnight Office Horror Mode," each with entirely unique rules and laugh-out-loud moments.

Unique Features

  • Meme-Packed Storytelling: From "overtime notices" to "slacking rule posters," every in-game poster and dialogue line is loaded with office humor, ensuring you’ll crack up as you solve puzzles.

  • Absurd Puzzle Solutions: Levels often require thinking outside the box. Defuse your boss’s anger with a "suck-up" item, or avoid security cameras using a "slacking gadget"—each level delivers an unexpected, brain-bending solution.

  • Diverse Mode Expansion: Beyond the office theme, unlock bonus modes like "Alternate Dimension" and "Lazy Bum Mode" to continue your hilarious adventure in parallel universes.

Whether you’re looking to blow off some work stress or just enjoy mind-bending puzzles, Office Chaos: Battle for Slack will have you laughing through every level while finding relatable humor as a fellow worker.
