About This Game

Qumaq is a Survival-Horror-Action-Adventure following the survivors of a shipwreck deep in the Bering Sea. Survive and explore the creatures and history of Quarrel Island, a strange no-man's land off the coast of Western Alaska. Survive the strange creatures that call it home. Look for an escape. Find your new community.

• Explore your new Island Prison

Quarrel Island is brimming with history and dark shadows where wriggling things lurk. Explore the island, learn of its past, survive its present, shape its future.

• Manage Resources

Survival in the Arctic Circle is not guaranteed. Scavenge for resources to keep yourself and your fellow survivors fed, watered, and warm through the cold nights. 

• Fight Infested Creatures

The strange inhabitants of the island would love nothing more than to take away all of your problems. Use a variety of firearms, melee weapons, and tools to keep them at bay while you search for a way home.

• Form bonds with the other Survivors

Get to know a cast of uniquely Alaskan characters, all with their own perspective and histories. Contribute to their survival, as they contribute to yours.

• Uncover the mystery of Quarrel Island

An abandoned Soviet Prison, the remains of a seemingly ancient fishing town, a desolate steppe stalked by a twisted monster, villages carved into the side of a volcano, something brewing within the caldera. This place has lived, and is looking to die. 

A collaboration between Alaskan game developer CakeNeq Games and Alaskan Author Don Rearden (Moving Salmon Bay, The Raven's Gift, Warrior's Creed) to create a uniquely Alaskan action-horror title about resillience, survival, and what it means to be a part of a whole.
