In 2020, during lockdown, Amal is living alone in his apartment, working as a game tester. His days follow a familiar routine, interrupted only by conversations with Diti, a former schoolmate and someone he has never quite moved on from.

When Amal begins testing Neuroveil, an experimental visual-perception device, the work seems straightforward: explore simulated environments, observe the system's responses, and submit a report after each test.

But Neuroveil does more than reproduce a virtual world.

It reconstructs experiences through real environments, memories, and the user's own perception. Familiar places can feel unfamiliar. Past experiences can return in unexpected ways. And what appears through the lens may reveal as much about the person wearing it as the world around them.

As the tests continue, the boundary between simulation, memory, and reality begins to feel less certain.
