Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our roadmap toward version 1.0 depends on completing several core systems that define the full Primal Legacy experience. These include:

A stable large-scale multiplayer environment
Multiple playable dinosaur species across different ecological roles
Fully implemented growth, survival, and progression systems
A dynamic ecosystem with evolving environments and long-term balance

Based on development progress and how successfully we can scale the team through Early Access support, we currently expect Primal Legacy to remain in Early Access for approximately 1–2 years. This timeframe allows us to iteratively refine core mechanics, expand content, and ensure long-term stability before a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Primal Legacy is intended as a focused but fully playable foundation, centered on core survival mechanics such as growth, sustenance, player interaction, and a believable, functioning ecosystem.

Throughout Early Access, these core systems will be iteratively refined and expanded. By the time Primal Legacy reaches its full release, the experience is planned to be broader in scope, deeper in mechanics, and more sustainable for long-term play. This includes:

A larger roster of playable dinosaur species with clearly defined ecological roles
Expanded ecosystem and environmental systems that support long-term world evolution
Improved social gameplay through more robust group and cooperation features
Deeper growth and progression systems that encourage specialization and varied playstyles
Additional content, biomes, and systemic interactions to make the world feel more alive and unpredictable

Our goal is for the full version to feel like a more complete, polished, and enduring survival experience, while staying true to the organic, emergent gameplay at the core of Primal Legacy.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build of Primal Legacy represents a solid, playable foundation of the core experience. It includes a functional multiplayer environment with the essential survival systems in place, allowing players to live as dinosaurs, interact with others, and engage with the ecosystem.

At this stage, the game features a playable selection of dinosaur species, a complete core survival loop including growth and sustenance, and a fully explorable main map. Multiplayer infrastructure is operational, including dedicated servers and online functionality, providing a stable basis for continued development and expansion during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to offer Primal Legacy at a lower price during Early Access as a gesture of appreciation to players who support the project early and actively contribute feedback that helps shape the game’s development. As the game grows in scope, content, and feature completeness on the path toward full release, the price may increase accordingly.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community closely throughout development, with Discord serving as our primary platform for communication and feedback. There, players will be able to share experiences, report issues, discuss balance and mechanics, and provide direct input on ongoing development.

We aim to maintain open and transparent communication by sharing development updates, gathering structured feedback, and actively engaging in discussions. Community input will play an important role in shaping gameplay systems, priorities, and improvements during Early Access and beyond.”
