What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“DERACE is currently in Early Access and is actively being developed. The game is fully playable and already delivers the core experience: fast, arcade-style racing with abilities and chaotic moments on the track.

What’s already in the game (Early Access now):
A complete arcade racing loop (race start → laps/checkpoints → finish/results)
Ability system (pickups, activation and basic UI feedback)
Online multiplayer races (host/join lobbies and race sessions)
Core vehicle handling tuned for fast, aggressive racing
Core menus and in-game HUD elements required to play

What we’re improving during Early Access:
More content (additional maps, more ability variety, and more vehicles and visual improvements)
Balancing (ability balance, handling tweaks, and match pacing)
Performance and stability (network reliability, bug fixes, and optimization)

We will continue updating the game throughout Early Access as we expand content, polish the experience, and refine balance based on community feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to increase the price during Early Access as we add major updates and content. The final release price will be higher than the Early Access price.”

About This Game

DERACE is a chaos-driven racing game for 2–6 players that you can play with friends or in public lobbies. Winning isn’t just about driving fast. Use the right ability at the right time, outplay your rivals, and hold your line.

What’s Waiting for You?

Host a lobby to play with friends, or open a public lobby to race with new people.
Races can end quickly, or stretch out and turn into pure chaos. The pace is entirely up to you.
Here, sometimes the goal isn’t to win, but to make sure your friend doesn’t.
Collect abilities on the track, use them at the right time, and stir up the mayhem.

Speed

When you need it, press it to close the gap. Or use it to pull away and create an advantage by escaping the chaos.

Oil

Drop oil behind your vehicle to cause chaos in strategic spots. Anyone who drives over it will slide, and things quickly spiral out of control.

Engine

When you can’t catch up to your opponents, this kicks in: it reverses their controls. They think they’re accelerating, but they’re actually braking. While you close in, they fall apart.

Shield

Perfect for short-term protection when everyone is targeting you. It grants immunity against negative effects like Oil and Engine, so you can keep your line and stay in control.
