Leaving Early Access: 2027

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re releasing TradingLife in Early Access because the game is built around learning, iteration, and mastery—and we believe the best way to refine that experience is through ongoing, direct feedback from real players.
Early Access lets us stay in close communication with the community, polish the core experience, and experiment with additional features and content that make the trading loop more engaging and useful.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last around one year. That said, we’ll focus on shipping meaningful improvements and updates as they’re ready, based on development progress and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains a complete core gameplay loop (weekly rounds, trading long/short, risk controls, settlement/looping, journaling and review).
For the full release, we plan to expand and polish the experience, which may include:

More content: additional instruments/markets and more historical data coverage

More gameplay depth: new mechanics and progression options that enhance long-term replayability.

Better onboarding: improved tutorials, guidance, and quality-of-life features to help players learn faster.

Community-driven creation: deeper support for user-generated content via the Workshop (see below), plus better discovery and sharing tools.

Overall polish: UI/UX improvements, balancing, performance optimizations, and expanded customization

Our overall goal is to make TradingLife a game you can keep replaying—while steadily building skills that translate cleanly from simulation into real-world trading workflows.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access is playable and complete in its core loop. You can:

Choose instruments and trade long or short.

Use capital and manage risk with take-profit / stop-loss and manual closes.

Progress through weekly rounds with periodic settlements that reward profitable performance and end unprofitable runs.

Use a robust log & review system, including trade journals, templates, and filtering to analyze performance and improve strategy.

In short: the foundation is here, and it’s already designed for repeated practice and continuous improvement.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we will increase the price as new content/features are added. We will give players at least one month's notice so that folks on the fence still have a chance to purchase TradingLife at its current Early Access price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community heavily through:

Social media and community channels to gather feedback, discuss strategies, and explore ideas for new mechanics

Regular conversations around what’s working, what needs improvement, and what new features would be most valuable

Opening the Steam Workshop during Early Access so players can create and share game content—currently we’re considering support for things like:

Trading strategies

Indicators

Instruments/markets (data/config packs)

We want TradingLife to grow alongside its players, with feedback and creativity shaping the direction as we iterate.

You can contact us on Discord.”

About This Game

Trade a Future You've Never Seen, in Markets That Actually Happened.

TradingLife is an immersive trading simulation game built for traders.

A Trading Environment That Feels Almost Too Real

  • All market data is based on real historical 1-minute candlesticks.

  • Real-time price movements are generated from the open, high, low, and close of the current 1-minute candle, combined with recent volatility characteristics. Our algorithms recreate the rhythm and behavior of live markets, making every movement feel natural and authentic.

  • Time itself is shifted into the future, so it doesn't feel like you're backtesting historical data — it feels like you're trading a market you've never seen before.

  • A dynamic day/night cycle and sleep system recreates the rhythm and routine of real-world trading.

Multiple Markets

TradingLife comes with a variety of tradable instruments, with even more markets available through the Workshop:

  • Crypto

  • Stock Index Futures

  • Gold (XAU)

  • Forex (FX)

Multiple Game Modes for Every Stage of Your Trading Journey

TradingLife features several game modes designed to cover every stage of trading:

  • Origin: A rogue-like trading experience that turns trading into an actual game.

  • Custom: Configure your starting capital, markets, and rules to build your own trading training ground.

  • Propfirm: Take on Prop Firm-style evaluations and test your profitability, drawdown management, and risk control.

  • Present: Connect to real-time market data and face the actual market.

  • Companion: Your personal trading buddy, always there to trade alongside you.

Professional Tools That Turn Practice Into Real Improvement

  • Professional Trading Tools: Indicators, multiple timeframes, drawing tools, multi-chart layouts, and a complete order system.

  • Trading Calendar: Track your progress and growth day by day.

  • Trading Journal: Create custom journal templates to record your entry thesis, risk plan, execution process, and emotional state.

  • Journal Analytics: Filter and analyze your trading records, compare performance across different types of trades, and quickly identify the trading styles and setups that work best for you.

  • Trade Review: Every trade automatically captures entry and exit screenshots. You can review each trade directly on the chart and practice it again.
