Why Early Access?

“I want to create a game whereby you jump into a game/match, and you feel excited to either try out a specific strategy, or you feel excited to try out something new.

One of the ways to do this, in my opinion, is by having many combinations that have unique effects.

However, the issue with having so many combinations is that there are bound to be things that the developer (me) did not consider, such as overpowered combinations that make other strategies feel silly.

Therefore, I have chosen early access has a way to balance out broken mechanics, and to involve the community in a dynamic way.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The planned goal is to keep this game in early access for 3 months from its release into early access; this may give me enough time to implement the planned content, and to sort out significant bugs and overpowered strategies.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to include more
1. effects
2. maps
3. enemy types
4. mechanics

in the final game.

My planned goal is to create an experience whereby the player feel excited to experiment and try out new combinations from the various effects that are planned to be included.

The main loop is like this; you load into a match, you click on enemies to decrease their health, occasionally you will level up and get access to upgrades, you have to avoid taking damage from the enemies by clicking on them at the correct time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually increase the price of the game over time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan on having the community participate on Steam forums and on forums like GitHub to report bugs and overpowered strategies that break the gameplay. This will help shape the game into an experience whereby there is no 'one correct way' to play.”

Goojeegoop

Goojeegoop is a roguelike survival game, whereby you click on enemies to gain

xp, items, and slots.

Goojeegoop has two major mechanics that make it really unique.

1. Effects can be chained together in unique patterns.

  • You can make a laser beam shoot out tiny particles, each particle then sending out lava.

  • You can make the tiny particles that each shoot out lava, the lava then shooting out laser beams.

  • And so on and so on...

  • You can customize your builds as you play

2. Numbers can change gameplay.

You can use numbers in this game for a variety of things, such as...

  • Increasing the amount of rewards you get.

  • Increasing the luck associated with getting each reward

  • Increasing how strong a reward is...
