Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access because we believe player feedback is one of the most valuable parts of developing a roguelike game. Our goal is to work together with the community to improve game balance, combat, progression, and overall gameplay experience. During Early Access, we plan to refine existing systems, add new content, and make the game more enjoyable based on player feedback before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan for Ashen Knight to remain in Early Access for approximately 3–4 months. This timeline may change if additional improvements are needed, as our priority is delivering the best possible experience rather than rushing to a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more content, improved balancing, additional enemies, new weapons and abilities, expanded progression systems, quality-of-life improvements, and overall polish. Throughout Early Access, we plan to use community feedback to refine the gameplay experience and ensure the final version is as enjoyable and stable as possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and includes the core gameplay loop of Ashen Knight. Players can experience the main combat mechanics, progression systems, and a substantial portion of the game's content. While the game already provides a complete gameplay experience, we plan to continue improving performance, balance, polish, and adding new content throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. We do not plan to change the price after the game leaves Early Access. We want players who support the game early to know exactly what to expect without worrying about future price increases.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout development. We will actively listen to player suggestions, bug reports, and balance feedback through the Steam Community and other social platforms. Our goal is to improve Ashen Knight together with the community by making regular updates, addressing reported issues, and implementing ideas that help create a better gameplay experience whenever they fit the vision of the game.”
