Why Early Access?

“Last Pirates: Die Together is our first co-op game of this scale – a game built to deliver laughter, chaos and great moments with friends. Games like this aren't balanced on paper; they're balanced by thousands of crews playing together.

We're entering Early Access to shape the game with our community: tuning the core loop, difficulty, enemy behavior, physics interactions, co-op flow, replayability and more – based on how people actually play and what they want to see. Our playtests and demo (100,000+ players) have already reshaped key systems, added new content and fixed countless bugs through player feedback. Early Access lets us keep that cycle running all the way to 1.0, with regular content and balance updates shaped by you.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're aiming for 6+ months. The honest answer: it will stay in Early Access until it's truly ready – we'd rather ship the right 1.0 than chase a date. Our team is based in Ukraine, working in challenging circumstances, so we ask for a bit of patience – and we'll keep doing our best.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Honestly – we have more ideas than we can list. For 1.0 we definitely want: many more locations, new enemies and bosses, character customization, a deeper progression system, more weapons and cursed loot, and overall polish across the board.
And this list keeps growing – even as you read this, we're already working on a major update.
”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable online co-op for up to 4 players – everything you saw in the demo, but bigger: more monsters, more locations, more content, more polish. It's already a full, fun co-op experience, and we squash bugs fast – during our playtests we shipped fixes weekly based on player reports. And it will only keep growing with regular updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may increase the price at full release, but we haven't made a final decision yet. What we can promise: every major update during Early Access is completely free, and any price change will be announced well in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We watch every video and read every comment – on Steam and on our Discord. We've run multiple playtests and demo versions, and we collect feedback constantly: there's an in-game survey form, and we get hundreds of responses per build, which we review weekly and turn into real changes.
That's how the game got to where it is – and that's how it gets to 1.0.
