One Card utilises a single action card with 4 skills on each side, and a navigation mechanic to move around on the card. This is both your navigator and soldier, weapon and shield. As the game progresses, you can gain upgradable stickers to modify the way your card works.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I feel that early access allows a game to cater more to its players, changing too much after the fact may betray players, so if you want to follow along with this journey grab it now and enjoy the ride, otherwise watch this space.

To re-iterate, the game is playable in its current state, but may have bugs or issues that I'll be sure to address as soon as I can as long as people report them.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I dont think longer than 6 months, infact I'd like to say half that, but I've been told there are many different aspects to take into account before calling it done.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will be much more finalized as a product, with the sticker upgrade ratios and card modifications, available skills all being much more refined and balanced than they will be on launch. Hopefully.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Its not released yet, so of course playable, but missing features that would do really well ( I think) in the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Nah. This is not my day job, while I'd love for it to be such, I have a great job and this is more a side hustle, that I've wanted to do for over a decade..

If things go well, I can re-assess, however the early access and version 1.0 will both be the same price. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the game community I'll be nailing bugs as they are found, taking into account suggestions on changes to balance, new skill and sticker ideas, everyone is bound to have a pile more ideas for this that I'd be happy to hear about as everyone sees things differently.

This is of course after I get through the mountain of ideas and mechanics and straight up lists from those who have play tested it so far and everyone of them also seem to have notes.”

About This Game

Simple to learn but harder to master, One Card is a single card game where you have to plan actions against another player which then get decided in a battle at the same time. The card requires management of your energy, ki, to overcome your adversary through cunning strategic movement, both deciphering their ki level changes to ascertain what you will need to do to counter.
