About This Game

Civilization has fallen. Headquarters still has another day to survive.

ApocalypseHQ is a single-player, turn-based management strategy game set after a zombie outbreak. Each turn represents one day. Keep food and water flowing today while investing in the power, personnel, research, and territory your headquarters will need tomorrow.

Plan Each Day

Advancing the day resolves facility output, survivor consumption, wages, facility upkeep, supply fuel, research, and ongoing external operations. Decide whether to trade for an immediate shortage, invest in storage and infrastructure, or risk sending squads beyond the perimeter.

Your stockpile extends beyond food, water, fuel, firepower, electricity, and Z-Coin. Manage scrap metal, mechanical parts, fertilizer, weapons, and production materials while deciding what deserves space in a limited warehouse.

Secure Territory and Bring It Back Online

Build farms, water purification facilities, power plants, hospitals, free markets, research labs, and training facilities in secured empty territories. Construction is only the beginning: search each area, clear its infected population, then assign workers and qualified specialists before it can operate.

Transport networks move supplies, power networks determine which facilities can run efficiently, and communications support headquarters operations. Allocate limited generation and supply fuel, and send engineers to repair damaged facilities.

Assign and Develop Your People

Train survivors as workers or soldiers. Commanders lead squads, researchers contribute according to their degrees and specialties, and engineers operate and repair critical facilities.

Wounded troops need hospital capacity and supplies before they can return to duty. Squad members and commanders can be killed, and operations begin to unravel when headquarters can no longer cover its active-duty costs.

Send Squads Beyond the Perimeter

External operations include both supply raids and missions that secure new empty territory. Form squads around named commanders, compare friendly and enemy combat strength, and decide how many squads the objective is worth.

Load between one and three days of firepower before departure. Order a retreat when supplies run low or casualties become unacceptable. The result determines casualties, recovered supplies, and whether new territory joins your headquarters.

Commit to One Research Project

Your research lab can pursue only one project at a time. Researcher degrees and specialties, along with facility conditions, determine what can be studied and how quickly progress is made.

Unlock facilities, production recipes, upgrades, and additional capacity. If an urgent need changes your priorities, cancel the current project at the cost of all accumulated progress.

Respond to a Changing Situation

Main and side quests provide longer-term direction, while daily staff briefings identify immediate problems. Choice events—including survivor arrivals, facility failures, zombie hordes, wounded rescues, and irregular trade—change actual resources, personnel, and facility conditions.

You cannot solve every problem at once. Decide what to protect, what to postpone, and what headquarters must sacrifice to survive another day.
