Reviews

“...at times the HUD displays so much information that it looks like the operating system has crashed, but that's a good thing. You /should/ be worrying about the balance of your systems and the team's make-up as you stomp. This is a nice balance of simming and shooting.”

About This Game

In an interstellar 31st century, mankind remains embroiled in conflict. The invading Clans - lab-grown descendants of humanity's former protectors - drive towards Terra as the feudal houses of the Inner Sphere once again collapse into civil war. Amidst the ensuing chaos, will you be a forgotten casualty... or a living legend?

MW: Living Legends is a strategic online FPS total conversion mod for Crysis Wars turned standalone (no hiding it: expect jank and instability!). Experience incredible team-based combined-arms action in up to 16v16 multiplayer - dive head-first into the epic battles of the storied BattleTech universe! Pick a side, get in your war machine, and conquer the battlefield!

Stride the battlefield in a titanic BattleMech - or swarm enemy 'Mechs as armored infantry. Rule the streets as a tank commander, or pound the enemy with field guns and cruise missiles. Dominate the skies in fusion-powered aerospace fighters and nimble VTOL attackers. Wage war from the seat of nearly 80 air and ground assets - with almost every one featuring between four and eight variants, each tailored toward a specific role and combat tactic.

The central game mode of MWLL, where both teams are tasked with capturing bases scattered across the map and are allocated a pool of resource points - tickets - that gradually decreases. With every base you capture, the rate of the enemy’s ticket bleed increases, and every asset destroyed takes from this pool. Both teams can recapture bases to slow their bleed. Use teamwork, clever strategies, and your guns to drain the enemy of tickets and win!

Coordinate with your team to get the edge over the enemy! Share radar data using the C3 system, provide radar cloaking with Angel ECM, and mark targets for artillery with TAG lasers and Narc beacons. Hide APCs behind enemy lines to create backdoors for friendly infantry. Take lighter and faster units to capture bases while the enemy is distracted. Teamwork can only ever get buffed!

With dozens of carefully crafted battlefields available, there's a wealth of diverse environments to conquer and wreak havoc on: Expansive arid deserts, massive underground caverns, frozen wastelands, volcanic wastelands, urban sprawls, mountainous woodlands, the surface of an asteroid - and even a few places of note from BattleTech itself! Many maps are several kilometers square, and feature dynamic day-night cycles and varying weather conditions, challenging you to diversify your tactics and playstyles.

Solaris Arena: Free-for-all mayhem across the many simulated arenas of BattleTech's renowned game world, Solaris VII! All arenas feature commentary by the legendary voice of Duncan Fisher - voiced by none other than George Ledoux himself!

Team Solaris Arena: Team deathmatch-like skirmishes for control of arenas and battlefields alike!

Assault: A Terrain Control derivative that thrusts each team into a dedicated attack or defend role. Different map layouts will approach teams' roles differently!
