What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Wings of Aviora has been in development for over three years. While the core flight and building mechanics are in great shape, custom aircraft games need real player creativity to discover what designs are possible and what needs balancing. We need Early Access to see the crazy designs you come up with, test the limits of our physics, and use your feedback to balance and polish the final release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate being in Early Access for roughly one year to complete our current roadmap, though this timeline could adjust slightly based on player feedback and the development of our co-op features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are currently focused on expanding the game's content. By the time we reach our full release, we plan to include:
* Co-op multiplayer support.
* Additional open-world locations and mission types.
* Many new aircraft parts for advanced building.
* New mechanical enemies, including a unique boss in every region.
* A complete story campaign.
For more detailed info on our upcoming updates, you can check out our official roadmap in the Steam discussions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core mechanics of flight and aircraft construction are fully playable. The first open-world location is nearly complete and populated with Liberation, Defense, Target practice missions along with Escort mission and a final boss. There are two finished tiers of fighter class aircraft parts to build with. Difficulty can be adjusted by switching between simple and advanced flight physics or turning off auto aim. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will gradually increase as we release major content updates and approach our full release launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“While we have a clear flight plan for our roadmap, we rely on our Steam and Discord communities to help us polish the game, hunt down bugs, and inspire new experimental aircraft parts.”

About This Game

Planet Aviora is being taken over by mechanical monsters rising from the ocean. The New Vravice archipelago is under siege. The City Council has gathered the best engineers to create versatile aircraft that can face these machines. Design experimental aircraft, push the limits of aviation physics and take to the skies to send the machine threat back to the bottom of the sea.

Construct Your Ultimate Aircraft

Aviora's finest mechanics are at your disposal, but the design is up to you. Balance weight, lift, thrust, fuel and weapon loadouts through relentless flight testing and iteration. Play your way -> stick to the forgiving simple physics model, or toggle on advanced physics for a bigger challenge.

Take Flight

You have absolute freedom of movement. Take off from the aerodrome, explore the sector, and engage targets on the horizon to seamlessly trigger dynamic missions:

  • Target Practice -> How to tell whether your aircraft is ready for battle? Your allies have made practice targets as durable as the hostile machines are. Completing target practice missions should give you a better idea of what might come next.

  • Liberation -> Drive the "Mecha-Eaters" out of occupied territories. Freeing cities with aerodrome increases your flight range. Once citizens have been relieved of the suppression they will start building defenses. Protect them or risk losing the territory to enemy counter-attacks.

  • Trade Routes -> Cargo ships are traversing the area with valuable cargo very desirable to machines hiding beneath water surface. Escort them through high-risk zones and make sure the fishes don't get their lunchboxes.

  • Leviathan -> Enemies won't ignore your presence forever. Once they recognize you as a threat, they will bring out the big guns! Make sure your aircraft design is the best it can be before you face the heavily armored boss.

Explore

Explore the area to find blueprints for new construction parts. Be sure to arrive home safely -> if your plane is shot down before you return to base, the blueprints are lost.

Bring It Home

A test flight is only successful if the pilot lands their aircraft at an allied aerodrome. Keep a close eye on your fuel levels -> aircraft falling into the ocean won't get certified. Review your test flight results to see exactly where your design excels and where it might need refinement.

Photosensitivity Warning

This game contains intense visual effects that may make it unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. Player discretion is advised.
