“The full version of Last Fisherman is planned to expand on the current core experience.

We plan to add additional biomes, more fish species (including rare and exotic ones), new story events, and more environmental variety.

We also want to further expand progression systems, balancing, and quality-of-life features based on player feedback.
While the core gameplay loop is already in place, the Early Access version does not yet include all planned content, biomes, and narrative elements that are intended for the full release.”

“The Early Access version of Last Fisherman is fully playable and contains the core gameplay systems.
Players can explore multiple biomes, catch a wide variety of fish with different rarities, earn money, upgrade equipment, and progress through the game loop.
The current version already reflects the intended atmosphere and pacing of the game, but some content, biomes, fish species, and story elements are still missing and will be added during Early Access.”

Between fishing expeditions you return to a central hub area.

Here you can:

The hub acts as your base before heading back out into the unknown waters.

Compare your catches with other players.

Leaderboards track:

  • the largest fish caught

  • rare discoveries

  • total fishing value

Only the most dedicated anglers will reach the top.

🌮 Food Truck

Not every fish needs to stay in your inventory.

At the Food Truck, you can cook and sell fish to earn money. The value depends on species, rarity, and weight.

Earned money can be invested into upgrades or specialized bait.

Three upgrade categories allow you to continuously improve your fishing equipment:

Grip
Improves casting precision.

Increases the chance of rare catches.

Reduces waiting time between bites.

Fishing Mechanics

The game combines classic fishing gameplay with modern mechanics and a small food-stand economy system.

After casting your line, you wait for a bite. Waiting time can be reduced through upgrades. Catching a fish triggers a skill-based mini-game focused on timing and reaction.

Collection & Progression

Caught fish can be:

  • sold for money

  • cooked and sold at the Food Truck

  • kept in your inventory

The Fish Book automatically records all discovered species and personal records.
