About This Game

Enter into the unknown and uncover the dark whispers of mages long ago.

“Erratum” is a story about a young apprentice named Tilde, and her misadventures made in the pursuit of magic. 

After sneaking into her library’s forbidden section to find a cure for her dys-hex-ia, she is lured by an ominous figure, trapping her in the pages of a dark tome.

Now, she must traverse through the writings of an unknown author to find a way to escape the pages and go home!

Meet The Cast:

A future witch for the world to fear! Naive and goofy, but with a good heart, Tilde is a courageous young girl with big aspirations for the future. Despite now being sealed away in the dark realm of ink, her strength shines brightly among the fog of words.

Is that… a worm? Is that a flame? Regardless, this spectral danger noodle is Tilde’s magical companion and academic mentor throughout the game. A fellow prisoner of the tome, he keeps her away from harm and guides her spellcasting, but has a few things to say along the way.

This friendly owl is here to help! He’s here to show Tilde the magic she’s been searching for. But something about him gives off the feeling he knows more than he’s letting on. Perhaps additional lore. 

Gameplay:

“Erratum” is a top-down puzzle-based dungeon crawler where your greatest tool is your mind and your command of light!

You’ll lead Tilde across a wide variety of mazes all while avoiding monsters, environmental hazards, and finding collectables along the way.

But be careful! These pages are dark and sight is a valuable resource. Your light will not only guide your path, but reshape the world surrounding it.

Each level offers a variety of extras for players clever enough to search for secrets. Find all of them and uncover more of the story along with a hidden bonus offered to our most dedicated players! [Hint: They’ll appear in the settings menu.]

Lux:

Tilde’s signature spell is called “lux”, a blast of light released to not only repel the darkness, but hold any foes within its reach still, at least for the duration of the spell.

As she is not yet strong enough to cast lux on her own, “lux crystals” serve as conduits scattered across the pages. With Wayzgoose’s guidance, harness this tool and you can bend the ink to your will.

Erratum’s assets are fully original, from its art, to its music, to its writing. No AI was used during Erratum’s creation process. We hope that you enjoy the final product!

As of now, Erratum: Chapter 1 is a demo. Future production is not yet planned at this moment, however Chapter 1 can be already enjoyed on its own! If you would like to see more, please let us know and we will consider revisiting in the future.
