Why Early Access?

“Deluge: Raintime cannot be created without dedicated support, feedback and assistance from its players. Earlier this year we released a one chapter Demo, which we were able to build upon thanks to the actionable feedback it received. And now that Deluge: Raintime is in a state where it's stable and fun to play, we would love to continue subjecting it to player scrutiny, so that we can keep improving it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to keep Deluge: Raintime in early access for approximately nine months. We are currently on track to release the full version of this game in Spring/Summer 2027. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add an additional five chapters of story; additional character artworks, backgrounds and settings; and an expanded score. Besides this we plan for the full version to incorporate all user feedback on matters such as gameplay and UI that we receive while the game is in Early Access”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At its current state, the game consists of five chapters of gameplay. All game features that we have released (ie. character artwork, backgrounds, writing, scripting, UI) are in a stable state and have been tested. However, all these features also still have room for further development and improvement.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are planning to keep Deluge: Raintime free after leaving Early Access. Once the game is released, we may publish a short bonus chapter as a paid DLC for players who wish to support the developers.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are eager to receive your feedback via the game Community Portal and via e-mail. The developers are very active in the game's Community Portal, and will generally provide personal replies to feedback received, summarizing the fixes and improvements that have been implemented. We post update reports whenever a new build is released.”

Built on an artificial island, the university town of Bremersberg harbors abnormalities that lay hidden in plain sight. Follow William, an unassuming college student, as he grows increasingly obsessed with the island's secrets. Will William get a grip on himself, before his curiosity drives him to unfettered madness?

Deluge: Raintime is an interactive adventure game with psychological and lovecraftian undertones. Story-wise, it builds forth on The Raintime, a short indie VN released by socah in 2020. Introducing a mostly new cast of characters, Deluge: Raintime reveals secrets that strike at the core of Deluge Chronicles.

In addition, the full release of Deluge: Raintime will contain a comprehensive After Story to Deluge, following the lives of Abe, Rika, Ina and Mei five years after the conclusion of Sermon for the Dead.
