What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows me to work closely with the community to fine-tune core systems like fish behavior, tank management, balancing, and overall feel. Player feedback will directly influence new fish species, decorations, and quality of life improvements as development continues.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Fish Tank Sim is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–24 months, depending on development progress, community feedback, and the scope of added systems. Considering it's currently being developed by a single developer.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand on the current experience with deeper progression. This may include additional tanks, more fish with unique traits, expanded decoration and upgrade systems, new environments, visual customization options, and optional side activities such as fishing. These features are goals and may change during development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version offers a fully playable core experience. Players can manage multiple fish tanks, feed fish, clean tanks, grow and sell fish to earn money, optimize their income, unlock new tanks and fish, build the communication tower, and a experience a day/night cycle with ambient forest sounds.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Fish Tank Simulator is expected to increase slightly in price after leaving Early Access, reflecting the addition of new content and systems.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to actively involve the community through Steam discussions and Discord by gathering feedback, engaging in discussions, and using polls to help guide future improvements and priorities.”

About This Game

Current Version: Alpha.

Fish Fortune is a cozy idle aquarium game about making smart choices, and building efficient setups.

You buy fish packs, place fish into detailed tanks, and decide how to grow your setup. Play actively by feeding low rarity fast-growing fish with upgraded food, or optimize your tanks by picking out low rarity fish until the tank consists of only high rarity fish, do that with multiple tanks and let fully grown fish generate income while you’re gone. Whether you check in often or let things run, progress continues.

Progression and Regions

As you earn money, you’ll improve each area by constructing key buildings. These projects reshape the environment, help fill your fish collection, and prepare you to move on to new regions with new conditions and species.

The journey begins in a quiet forest, where your first long-term goal is building a communication tower. Completing it marks your readiness to move forward, with future updates unlocking new regions, including a harsh frozen biome home to species that can’t survive elsewhere.

More will be described as development continues.
