Why Early Access?

“Bird Wars is entering Early Access so we can gather real-world player feedback on multiplayer balance, bird abilities, map flow, and overall match pacing. Because the game is a competitive, team-based experience, large-scale player testing is essential to properly tune abilities, progression systems, and performance across different hardware and network conditions. Early Access allows us to iterate quickly with the community before locking major systems for the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Bird Wars to remain in Early Access for approximately 3 months. This timeframe may change depending on player feedback, balance needs, and the stability of progression and matchmaking systems.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Bird Wars is planned to include:

A finalized progression and ability-unlock system

Improved balance and tuning across birds, abilities, and maps

Additional polish, bug fixes, and performance optimizations

Quality-of-life improvements based on community feedback

Core gameplay, multiplayer, and bird abilities are already present in Early Access, but the full release will represent a more refined, stable, and balanced experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Bird Wars includes all core gameplay systems and multiplayer functionality described in the “About This Game” section. Players can participate in full multiplayer matches featuring multiple bird characters, team-based nest combat, island traversal, and all currently planned bird abilities.

At this stage, all abilities are unlocked for all players. Progression and ability unlocking systems are temporarily disabled so we can focus on gameplay balance, ability tuning, and overall match flow before finalizing progression mechanics.

The game is fully playable in multiplayer, but players may encounter bugs, balance issues, and unfinished polish. Ongoing Early Access updates will focus on balancing, bug fixes, performance improvements, and implementing finalized progression systems.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve the community throughout Early Access by gathering feedback from players across our Discord and social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. We regularly share development updates, gameplay changes, and work-in-progress features, and we closely monitor comments, discussions, and player feedback.

Community feedback will play a key role in balancing bird abilities, refining multiplayer gameplay, identifying bugs, and prioritizing quality-of-life improvements. We aim to remain transparent about development decisions and use player input to guide updates and improvements during Early Access.”
