About This Game

In Fame or Folly, you build your performance with every trouper you bring to the stage.

Every card you draw has a chance to change your performance. Synergize troupers together, boost them with gameplay-modifying banners, and excite the crowd to build approval. But watch out; some cards build tension in the crowd, and if you outrage the town they’ll drive you out! Each draw pushes your luck: will you hit a powerful combo, or lose it all?

The King has established a Grand Festival to maintain the peace, and you’re a travelling troupe with your eyes set on the final stage. In your world applause is currency, silence is death, and a perfect performance is more powerful than any sword. Lead your ragtag caravan from the mud of village squares to the marble floors of the Royal Court.

To survive the critics and hecklers, you must master the synergies between your cast members. There are five distinct trouper classes, and balancing them is the key to success.

• Minstrels: The backbone of your show, generating your raw score.

• Vendors: Earn coin to fund recruitment of new talent and powerful items.

• Mystics:  Use arcane abilities to bend the rules of the stage.

• Outcasts: High-risk, high-reward troublemakers who provide massive multipliers.

• Wardens: Keep the crowd in check, and prevent being run out of town.

Combine them with over 100 Banners and rare items to create explosive, performance-defining combos.
