Special Request: Chapter 1 — The Invitation is the first of four standalone yet connected chapters. It introduces the influence system that gradually binds Laura to PAM — and the first decision she cannot undo.

Each chapter can be experienced on its own, but your decisions carry forward. Relationships, psychological bonds, and key outcomes persist throughout the entire four-part story.

Laura is a well-known public figure in her city — interviewed on local TV, active in charity work, polished and visible. She tries to live respectfully, but when she becomes overwhelmed, she makes impulsive decisions that others can exploit.

After a night at the Iron Bar spirals out of control, Jean threatens to expose compromising details unless she cooperates.

The only person who steps forward is BB, an influential friend of the mayor. He claims he can “take care of things,” as he has done for others before, and that as long as Laura stays under his protection, nothing will come to light. His help feels reassuring — yet clearly comes with conditions.

Soon after, an anonymous voice warns her. When Laura arranges a meeting with a private detective, she finds him murdered instead. In the shocked crowd, someone whispers:

“What if you're next, Laura?”

Through BB, Laura is invited to join PAM, a new company that needs a trustworthy public face. Instead of a routine job, she becomes Corporate Image Director — the person responsible for shaping how the public sees PAM. The more Laura stands beside the company’s logo, the more her own reputation becomes inseparable from it.

At home, her marriage begins to crack under pressure. At work, small requests and subtle expectations start to accumulate.

Your choices influence how Laura responds through the Pure/Corrupt psychological system, shaping her perception, altering scene access, and determining which relationships and information become available in later chapters.
