Why Early Access?

“Space Snatcher currently includes half the content and is in a playable state. So Space Snatcher is releasing in Early Access so players can support, provide early feedback, and enjoy the game as new content releases. Content includes new monsters, rooms, objectives, cosmetics, items, and upgrades; and updates will be released roughly bi-weekly.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Space Snatcher Version 1.0 is planed to be released roughly around January 2027. All new content planned for Version 1.0 will be gradually released during Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During the Early Access period I plan to make more monsters, rooms, system failures, objectives, cosmetics, and items to increase playtime. I also plan to add features such as Public Lobbies, Controller Support and more Settings options to increase quality of life. Plus I plan to add more polish such as cutscenes and voice overs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access version contains almost every system present in the planned 1.0 Version just with less content (monsters, rooms, objectives, etc) and a bit less polish. Expect about 4 hours of fresh replay-ability for the Early Access and 4+ more hours of new content in the 1.0 Launch and potentially more based on Space Snatcher's success. The game is heavily randomized from the monsters to the map so replay ability can be much higher.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The base price does not plan on changing but the discounts will be more generous during Early Access launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback is super important in shaping the game. Feel free to leave your feedback in steam reviews, steam discussion pages, or social media posts as I will be checking them out. I also post DevLogs about new content on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, come check them out!”
