Why Early Access?

“OK BOOMER is built around cooperative gameplay, replayable runs, enemy encounters, item choices, and a balance between risk and reward. These systems feel best when real players with different playstyles test them.

Early Access gives us a better way to improve the game with the community while the core experience is already playable. We want to use player feedback to tune the pacing, difficulty, rewards, enemies, and overall feel of the game before moving toward the full version.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect OK BOOMER to stay in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months.

This may change depending on player feedback, development needs, and the amount of content we decide to add during Early Access. Our priority is to improve the game properly rather than rush the process.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with more content, better balancing, improved progression, and additional polish based on player feedback.

Our current plans include adding more enemy variety, more items, more events, more room and level variation, improvements to cooperative gameplay, better onboarding, additional quality of life features, and broader balancing across the main gameplay loop.

The final scope may change during development as we learn what players enjoy most and what the game needs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core OK BOOMER gameplay experience. Players can enter runs, collect glitches, fight enemies, use equipment, interact with objectives, play cooperatively, and progress through the main loop of the game.

The current version is playable, but some parts are still being improved. Balance, content variety, enemy behavior, progression, user interface, performance, and overall polish are areas we plan to keep working on during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to launch the game in Early Access at a lower price.

As we add more content, features, improvements, and polish, we may gradually raise the price. Any pricing changes will reflect the state and scope of the game at that time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an important part of our development process during Early Access.

We plan to follow player feedback through Steam discussions, reviews, Discord, bug reports, gameplay videos, and direct community messages. We will use this feedback to understand what needs better balance, what feels unclear, what players enjoy, and which parts of the game need more work.

We want to keep improving OK BOOMER together with the players and shape the game around real gameplay experience.”
