What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Although the game already features a fully functional and playable core gameplay loop, there is still work to be done: polishing mechanics, optimizing performance, and adding more content such as new maps, enemies, and features that I consider essential for the final release.

I have a very clear vision of what version 1.0 should look like, but I firmly believe that the best way to achieve it is by collaborating with the community. Early Access will allow me to gather your feedback, suggestions, and bug reports directly during the development process, shaping and improving the game step-by-step based on your input.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“While I don't have a definitive release date for the final version, my plan is for the game to remain in Early Access for approximately 1 to 2 years. Throughout this period, I will release regular updates featuring new content, bug fixes, and improvements to keep the game fresh and the community fully engaged.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will significantly expand upon the core Early Access content. I will add a system of unique planets, each with its own set of maps, alongside more enemies, items, and artifacts. I plan to release constant updates that drastically change gameplay by introducing new weather, planets, moons, and mechanics.

I will also include visual character customization and an upgrade system for both physical stats (strength, speed, stamina) and the ship itself. Lastly, the game's entire lore is already written and will be progressively integrated through discoverable computers, text logs, and recordings scattered throughout the environment.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, Project Exodus features a very solid and fully playable foundation. I have included three complete maps (one of which is procedurally generated), five unique enemies with their own distinct behaviors, a roster of 27 artifacts, and 7 usable items. All of this content is integrated into a complete core gameplay loop that is already infinitely replayable from day one.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to moderately increase the price of the game as I add new content and major updates, though it will not differ significantly from the original launch price. By doing this, I want to reward and thank the players who choose to support the development of Project Exodus from the very beginning during its Early Access phase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I currently run a closed beta for Project Exodus, where I closely monitor everything my community shares—from bug reports and balancing suggestions to design ideas and visual improvements. I plan to continue on this exact path throughout the entire Early Access phase. Ultimately, this game is for you. Your feedback will be my main point of reference for making decisions and polishing the experience, with the goal of creating a game that as many people as possible can enjoy.”

About This Game

Project Exodus is an online co-op horror game featuring proximity voice chat, a shared team arsenal, and terrifying monsters. You and up to 5 friends can explore dangerous maps to harvest valuable Biomass using your specialized Net-Launchers.

Earth isn't what it used to be. After the war that forced humanity to flee, the local fauna mutated into horrible beings. Explore unique maps harboring monsters of all kinds. Your job is to hunt them. They're terrifying, ridiculous, and most importantly, a potent source of Biomass.

Survival in space isn't free. While "The Ark" desperately needs Biomass to survive, your paycheck comes from the strange Artifacts left behind. Your mission: Meet the Biomass quota to save humanity... and sell every Artifact you find to get paid.

The basic Net-Launcher is courtesy of the Ark, but you won't last long with it. Invest your profits in new Net firmware (Electric, Heavy...). Thanks to the Ark's data network, when one crew member unlocks a net, the entire team gets access. Combine different types to hunt efficiently.

Your paycheck comes from Artifacts, so spend it wisely at the Cave's shop. Buy vital items like medkits, flashlights or even decoys. This gear is essential to survive long enough to extract with even more artifacts.

The Ark doesn't waste resources. If your main unit is destroyed, your consciousness chip activates a backup "Mini-bot." You can't hunt, but you can help: light the way, distract threats, or just scream over voice chat while you run. But beware: this second chance is your last. If that little tin can is destroyed, your signal is lost forever... (well, at least until the crew gets back to the Cave).
