Weavers of Life is a Fantasy Hybrid Visual Novel that includes map exploration and an in depth turn based combat system. We are built by a small Dev team of about 40 random people recruited off of discord. 

Story:

The story follows two brothers, Vlad and Killian, who have just woken from an experiment conducted by a powerful Rune Weaver named Bruudah. This experiment fundamentally changed their internal chemistry and most importantly, how they interact with the Runes of the world. 

Vlad is calm, collected, and grateful towards Bruudah for helping them out of a tough spot and sees these new welcome changes as a brand new opportunity to rise higher in the pecking order of their nation. 

Killian however is skeptical about the true nature of the experiment and does not trust Bruudah's intentions with them.

This leads to many fights and bickering between the brothers. Thus the hand of fate must guide them by who is right and who is wrong. 

Gameplay:

You will read through a fully voice acted story with some animated cutscenes but it will typically be in a Visual novel like format with moving pictures and text boxes below. 

However, my goal with this game is to make every single decision matter, make every fork in the path lead to a different outcome or track something in the background that will effect your future. 

The story will also not be entirely linear. It may be for the beginning and for some of the Beta that will be launched as the locale is limited. But the future of the game will hold a much larger city for you to explore freely. 

This brings us to map exploration, where you are able to navigate a two dimensional map by clicking on doors to enter the next room. 

The game also runs by a timing system. You can enter rooms and trigger an event that will cause the day to move. Different events will pop up in different rooms, or different parts of the city. 

And finally, when your story inevitably cannot move forward without engaging in a hostile relation with a group, you will enter our turn based combat, tailored to the magic system called Rune Weaving. 

Both Vlad and Killian will operate with different mechanics and interactions but they all revolve around combining runes to make different effects.
