Why Early Access?

“Since we are an independent developer, we want to grow with you by releasing the game early. We want to integrate the feedback from you into the game in a good way and develop it with you.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“There are updates that we think should be in our game. In the full version of the game, we want to release the game with different mechanics and a different loop of events waiting for you every time you enter the game. We don't want to keep this process too long. A period of about 6 months will be enough.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version, we plan to make sure that there are no bugs in the game, that you don't get bored while playing and that you can play for a long time. We plan to add additional mechanics to our game and add more based on your feedback.
We also plan to make our community better until the full release and to be intertwined with our community in the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the Early Access release offers a game with its core gameplay loop fully playable.
Among Paws includes the main thief and innocent cat mechanics, online multiplayer matches, and the weight-based win system where the first cat to reach 5 kg becomes the champion.
Players can experience night-time thefts, morning discussions, and voting rounds supported by voice and text chat.
Early Access also features optional side roles, cosmetic content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may also increase according to the updates we will make. We take it naturally and we want our players to take it naturally too.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a Discord server. In our Discord we talk about ideas with players, see bug reports and take note of their feedback.
Our players have been very helpful in developing the game so far and we want to continue this approach during Early Access.
We pay close attention to your suggestions and believe that by joining us we can improve our game.”

About This Game

CATS, FISH, AND SUSPICION

Among Paws is a cozy 4–8 player social deduction party game where sneaky cats steal fish at night, accuse each other in the morning, and race to become the first 5 kg champion.

Every night, one or more cats wake up with a secret plan: steal the fish without getting caught.

Steal the fish carefully. The other cats may be sleeping, but every suspicious move can come back to haunt you in the morning.

HOW IT PLAYS

When morning comes, everyone gathers around the table to discuss, bluff, defend, and accuse.

Choose carefully.

Accuse the real thief, and the innocent cats share the fish.

Accuse the wrong cat, and the thief enjoys the feast.

Discuss in the morning
Innocent cats search for clues while thieves bluff their way out.

Vote for the suspect
The table decides which cat looks the most suspicious.

Sneaky cats make their move while the others sleep.

Bluff your way out
If you are the thief, stay calm, act innocent, and convince everyone to blame another cat.

Catch the real thief
If you are innocent, listen carefully, watch the table, and vote before the thief gets away.

Every round is short, social, and chaotic. One clever lie or one perfect accusation can change who gets the fish.

RACE TO 5 KG

Every successful round makes the winning cats heavier.

Winners eat the fish, grow bigger, and get closer to victory.

The first cat to reach 5 kg wins the game.

No eliminations, no waiting
Every cat stays in the game, and every round matters.

Even if you lose a vote, you are never removed from the match. You keep playing, keep accusing, and keep fighting for the next fish.
