PropHunt is a multiplayer game of hide-and-seek where the hiders are the scenery - and the scenery fights back with a paintbrush.

When a round starts, players are split into a small pack of Hunters and a crowd of Hiders. Hiders get a head start to vanish into the level; Hunters are released to find them before the clock runs out.

Become the furniture - then make it perfect

Look at any prop in the world and become it. A crate, a barrel, a lamp - your character disappears and the object takes its place. But a stock disguise only gets you so far. PropHunt lets you paint your prop by hand:

- Brush real color across the whole object - strokes flow continuously over edges and seams, so you can blend a disguise into its surroundings instead of standing out.

- Tune the surface per stroke - shine, glow, and self-lit highlights are baked into each stroke, so a glossy red dab and a matte blue one can live on the same prop.

- Steal colors with the eyedropper - sample the exact paint off nearby scenery (or another player's prop) and reproduce it precisely.

The whistle always tells

Every Hider is on a timer. Periodically — whether you like it or not - your prop lets out a loud, 3D-positional whistle that echoes across the level, giving Hunters a direction to triangulate from. You get a brief private warning before it fires, just enough time to reposition. No disguise stays hidden forever. The whistle keeps every round tense and moving toward a finish.

Hunt with the right tool

Hunters don't just swing blindly. They carry a kit built to expose hiders:

- Scanner - fire off a detective-vision pulse that ripples out across nearby props, lighting up anything suspicious.

- Pressure Washer - blast a continuous spray to strip

- Decoy - bait and misdirect the hiders you're chasing.

Tag a hider and they're caught - frozen and out of the round. But every tool is rate-limited and every catch is server-confirmed, so it's down to your eyes and your aim, not spam.

- Up to 16 players per match over Steam.

- Server-authoritative rounds - disguises, whistles, scans, and tags are all validated on the server, so what you see is what everyone sees.

- Drop-in lobby flow - jump from menu to lobby to match and back between rounds.

- A clean Hide - Seek - results loop with a shared, synced match timer.
