Key Features

== A World That Never Sleeps ==

NPCs have jobs, needs, personal lives, and problems. They eat, work, steal, fight, bargain, sleep, get drunk, and the world keeps moving whether you log in or not.

== Emergent Radiant AI ==

Every inhabitant follows a layered behavioural system inspired by Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. No magical spawns, no on-rails scripting. NPCs react to hunger, danger, wealth, reputation, your choices, and their goals.

== Natural Command & Interaction ==

Issue commands and negotiate through typing in plain language. Ask someone to fish with you, guard a doorway, gather supplies, or take and equip a weapon you’ve crafted. NPCs respond based on who they are, what they want, and how much they trust you.

== Extraction Dungeons with Risk & Reward ==

A dungeon run is a gamble. Find an exit and keep what you’ve acquired or push deeper for greater rewards. If you fall, the dungeon keeps every item you risked bringing inside.

== Procedural Dungeons with Purpose ==

Explore handcrafted rooms stitched into endless layouts, filled with puzzles, dangers, stories, and loot.

== Preparation Makes or Breaks You ==

Tools matter. Loadouts matter. Tactics matter. Know what you’re up against and adjust. Stances, weapon types, spells, and consumables. Your success will be determined by not only your skill levels, but also by your preparation, resource management and knowledge of the lore.

== Magic Through Incantation ==

Discover spell words and type incantations to cast them. Combine reagents to make custom potions, combine incantation words to make custom spells, and discover rituals which must be typed correctly to unlock deeper power. Try things. Break things. Accidentally summon a demon. Experimentation is rewarded... or punished.

== Live Economy Simulation & Crafting ==

Resources are gathered, goods are made, wealth is accumulated and scarcity has consequences. Whether you’re forging steel or farming turnips, every item has value and provenance. Steal the village crops and then sit back and watch the carnage unfold.

== Skills That Grow With Use ==

There are no fixed classes. You become what you practice. Swordsmanship, cooking, lockpicking, enchanting. Your playstyle writes your character sheet.

== Sound & Atmosphere ==

Mythologous features a full original score (WIP with some temporary placeholder tracks in pre-alpha), ambient soundscapes, and SFX that respond to the world, from rustling forests to echoing crypts. Text may drive it, but you’ll hear every moment.

== Stop! ==

Misbehave and you’ll have the guards on your tail. Distract one once and you might get away, but meet them again and they’ll remember. Should have paid the fine...

== Solo by Design. Party by Choice ==

Play independently or bring companions with skills you lack. Build trust with NPCs who fight beside you, or team up with other players, if you’re certain they won’t leave you trapped in the Otherworld...

Explore a handcrafted overworld of over 500,000 tiles (WIP), created using our proprietary construction set.
