About This Game

Regret is a powerful motivator. It haunts us. It shapes us. Its cold hand is ever present, as if pushing us along our life’s path while simultaneously holding us firmly in the past.

Lilith Cunningham has been running from a decision she made ages ago, haunted by a life that could have been. Just as her guilt finally fades to a dull ache, she receives a message from her estranged daughter, Sara.

“There’s a hotel here. It’s got this drive-in theatre? But… something’s wrong.
Someone… something… is hunting me. I have to g–”

The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham invites you to step into a desert-noir detective adventure steeped in the supernatural. Explore the Alpine Movie Manor Hotel and Drive-In, piece together clues, solve the mystery of a mass vanishing, and unravel a tangled web of deceit that involves Sara and the other guests and staff of the hotel.

But Lilith is not alone. She discovers a mystical Film Reel imprinted with a strange motion picture called The City of Dreams. Whoever is in possession of the Film Reel can tear through the fabric of reality and restitch it, altering the lives of those ensnared by its power along with the hotel itself. With the looming presence of a strange and enigmatic entity called The Host and a malevolent specter that wants the Film Reel for herself, you’ll have to be smart and make hard decisions to develop your own Final Cut of the film.

  • Become a Supernatural Detective - The women in Lilith Cunningham’s family are sensitive to the supernatural. Use her uncanny abilities to piece together clues, uncover the motivations of suspects, and solve the mystery of the strange vanishings at the Alpine Movie Manor Hotel and Drive-In.

  • Rewrite Reality - The mystical Film Reel is your instrument to shape reality. Uncover clues and solve mysteries using a tactile, hands-on detective system. It’s up to you to determine what happened (and what will happen) at the Alpine Movie Manor Hotel and Drive-In. Your choices directly impact the lives of those involved in the mystery. Not everyone can have a storybook ending.

  • Watch Your Film Edits Come to Life - The Film Reel is your key to solving the Alpine Movie Manor Hotel’s mysteries. But it is so much more… As you edit the footage, you’ll be able to watch how the characters on the Film Reel and their real-life counterparts change. You have control over the lives, values, and personalities of everyone missing from the hotel.

  • A Compelling Cast of Characters - In the spirit of classic full-motion video games, The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham features live performances inspired by the surreal style of David Lynch. What do a tortured movie studio executive, a down-on-his-luck private eye, and an up-and-coming actress with a secret have to do with the Alpine Movie Manor Hotel vanishings? That’s for you to unravel. Nothing is quite as it seems, and the unlikely answer to your questions may just be the correct one.

  • Original Desert-Noir Soundtrack - Causeway Studios is proud to partner once more with Gustavo Coutinho (The Haunting of Joni Evers, PAYDAY 2 and PAYDAY 3) to underscore the surreal and unexpected happenings in the Alpine Movie Manor Hotel and Drive-In.

  • An Interconnected Universe of Stories - The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham is set in The Worlds Across the Causeway, our shared universe of stories in which reality is always stranger than it seems. Each story we tell is an entry point, with no need to have played our previous games, including The Haunting of Joni Evers. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or coming back for more, you are welcome in The Worlds Across the Causeway.

  • A Purely Human-Crafted Experience - Causeway Studios is staunchly anti-AI. No AI was used in the creation of any aspect of our game.
