Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core systems are playable and stable, but this is the kind of game that benefits from real player observation and feedback. Early Access lets me tune balance, deepen systems, and grow the world alongside a curious community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Several months.
Development will continue until the game feels stable, cozy, and meaningfully replayable, guided by feedback rather than a fixed checklist.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version expands depth, not direction.

Planned growth includes deeper lineage and genealogy systems, additional biomes for parallel experiments, expanded Blueprint and lab workflows, and richer social and environmental behaviors.

These are directions, not guarantees. The game grows based on what proves meaningful in play.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build includes the complete core loop and is fully playable.

Neeblies live autonomously with genetics, mutation, and drift. Lineages are tracked across generations. Multiple biomes act as independent experiments. A Lab allows discovered traits to be preserved and reintroduced. Discovery systems reward observation rather than clicking. A Scrapbook and Journal record what you have actually seen. Performance is stable, and save/load persistence is implemented.

This is not a prototype. It is an evolving simulation.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes.
Early Access is priced lower while systems are refined and expanded. The price will increase as the game approaches its full scope.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player discoveries directly inform development.
Feedback through Steam and Discord helps guide balance, clarity, and which systems deserve deeper exploration. I post frequent patch notes and dev observations as the ecosystem grows.”

About This Game

Welcome to The Neeblarium, a living ecosystem full of tiny creatures called Neeblies. They hatch, wander, form families, carve out homes, and slowly turn a blank dish into a humming little ecosystem.

Each biome behaves like its own petri dish, evolving independently over time. Neeblies live autonomously, shaped by genetics, environment, and chance rather than direct control.

The Neeblarium is designed to be calm, curious, and quietly alive — a world you can focus on, or let run beside you.

What you actually do

  • Place Florin to establish fertile beds that sustain life

  • Introduce eggs and watch Neeblies hatch and find their place

  • Let populations eat, rest, socialize, reproduce, and change on their own

  • Observe mutations, rare traits, and unexpected behaviors as they emerge

  • Use a Lab to preserve discovered traits and reintroduce them as new founders

  • Run multiple biomes as parallel experiments, each with its own evolutionary story

You can be very hands-on, or almost completely hands-off. The simulation doesn’t need constant input — it’s happy to just… simmer.

Under the glass

Every Neeblie carries heritable genetics that shape:

  • Color and glow

  • Behavior, curiosity, and sociability

  • Lifespan and resilience

  • Subtle tendencies that influence how they move and interact

Traits pass to offspring with variation and mutation. Over time, lineages stabilize, drift, or disappear entirely. Some environments reward chaos. Others reward patience and long-term care.

Progress comes from discovery, and from learning how to make something last.

Current Features

  • A cozy, living artificial life simulation with genetics, mutation, and drift

  • Lineages and genealogy tracked across generations

  • Multiple biomes functioning as independent experiments

  • A Lab and Blueprint system for preserving and reintroducing discovered traits

  • Discovery systems that reward observation rather than clicking

  • A Scrapbook and Journal that record what you’ve actually witnessed

  • Stable performance with large populations and full save/load persistence

Coming During Early Access

The Neeblarium is actively developed in Early Access. The core simulation is playable and stable, with development focused on tuning, polish, and expanding depth rather than changing direction.

Planned additions include:

  • Deeper lineage and genealogy tools

  • Additional biomes for long-term experiments

  • Expanded Lab workflows and quality-of-life improvements

  • Richer social and environmental behaviors

If you enjoy artificial life, aquarium-like simulations, emergent systems, or slow games that reward curiosity over optimization, this is the world I’m building.

Thanks for taking a look,
— Ghost
