In SOULFUL you'll collect surprising spells, forage for useful trinkets, face off against gnarly beasts and, if you're lucky, discover what lies at the end of the river.

SOULFUL recaptures the sense of discovery and wonder of the early-era ASCII adventures by being completely text-less and number-less: you'll need to discover the rules of the world using your intuition, creativity and wits in order to thrive.

Like all good games, in SOULFUL you'll begin at the base of a waterfall.

Multiple biomes: get lost in the forest, dance in a clearing, lie down at the beach, hop over ancient ruins, inquire with the locals in the big city.

SOULFUL is custom-built for emergent gameplay: missing a fireball may be your ticket from a benign encounter to a dangerous forest fire.

You won't make it very far down the river without stopping every once-in-a-while, admiring the scenery, and foraging for useful trinkets off of the forest floor.

You'll need to spend your consumable toolkit wisely. It may get you out of a tricky situation now, but amassing enough of a stash will unlock even more powerful, permanent effects.

Be surprised at a burst of colourful particles, updating in real-time as opposed to turn-based.

Feel the UI pop and slide as you mouse-over it, a tactile and intuitive experience.

Finally, sink into the full-screen open world, where your cone of vision spreads all the way out to the edges of the screen.

Inspired by the original adventure games, non-player characters in SOULFUL only move when you do.

While your enemies might stop, projectiles keep moving and particles continue exploding: you decide the pace of the game!

The door is wide open to a sprawling, mysterious, echanting universe.
