Why Early Access?

“SCP: Fractured Reality's 1.0 is planned to have far more content than the initial release. Rather than keep everyone waiting, the game will be released in Early Access so players will be able to play the unfinished game rather than not at all. After the game enters early access, the plan is to continually update it until 1.0 is reached. Rushing release isn't good for anyone, and we want to take the time to ensure each content drop is as high quality as possible on the road to 1.0.

Furthermore, we believe that player feedback is paramount in ensuring the final release of SCP: Fractured Reality ends up being the best it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Content between release and 1.0 is already planned out. The plan is to release one content drop at a time until all the planned content has been implemented. Once all planned content has been implemented, the game will exit Early Access and enter 1.0. Past its Early Access release, the plan is for the game to reach 1.0 in a matter of several years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The plan is for SCP: Fractured Reality's 1.0 release to have significantly more content than the Early Access version. Features planned (though not yet implemented) involve new weapons, new SCPs, new game modes, and more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of SCP: Fractured Reality is playable, though incomplete. Several weapons, SCPs, and one game mode have been implemented, with more to hopefully come in the future.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The pricing for SCP: Fractured Reality has yet to be determined. Upon SCP: Fractured Reality's Early Access Release, the initial price will remain unchanged. Whatever price the initial Early Access release is, the price will not raise with subsequent updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The team of SCP: Fractured Reality has a long history of making fan mods for video games, and thus have a history of working productively with our communities. SCP: Fractured Reality has a very involved fan community on our Discord server. Feedback from fans and play testers will be taken into account to ensure SCP: Fractured Reality reaches its fullest potential.”

About This Game

Something has gone horribly wrong. Main and emergency backup power has gone out in Site 97, leading to a facility-wide containment breach. The staff is trapped, and alone in the dark, with the creatures and people they kept locked up. Players will need to work together to get the power back on and find supplies to ensure their survival. It's kill or be killed, now.
