What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Pigmarines is built around social interaction, player behavior, and emergent chaos.
Early Access allows us to develop the game together with the community, observe real matches, and fine-tune core systems like balance, pacing, and social dynamics based on real player feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is planned to stay in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months, depending on development progress and community feedback to deliver the best Pigmarines experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Pigmarines will be a more complete and content-rich experience.

During Early Access, we plan to expand the game with new sabotage mechanics, more interactable systems, customizable match options, weapons, tools, cosmetics, and additional maps.

Our goal is to deliver a polished, well-balanced social deception experience with more variety, depth, and replayability at full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Pigmarines is fully playable in Early Access and focuses on the core experience:
online co-op social deception, time-based sabotage objectives, team-based roles, and player-driven chaos.

Players can already play full matches and engage with the core systems, while additional content and refinements continue throughout development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to review pricing as development progresses.
As new content, features, and improvements are added over time, we may adjust the price accordingly. Any potential changes will reflect the scope and value of the game at that stage.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback plays a key role in Pigmarines’ development.

We actively collect feedback through Steam discussions, social platforms, and in-game behavior observations, using player input to guide balance changes, improvements, and future features throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Pigmarines is a co-op social deception game where traitors secretly sabotage the ship while pretending to be passengers, and the crew tries to find the traitors by observing their behavior. Traitors continue sabotaging until the ship sinks; however, as sabotage progresses, it becomes harder to hide. The crew must expose the traitors before it's too late or they will be eliminated.

SABOTAGE OR BETRAYAL

Traitors must complete their sabotage tasks without raising suspicion. Every move you make pushes the match into a different kind of chaosand makes the traitors a little more exposed. If you choose to betray, you can cause chaos in countless ways; it's incredibly fun to easily snitch them.

EVERYONE LOOKS THE SAME

Appearance is identity. As the number of passengers decreases, the risk of being exposed increases. That is why all passengers, except the crew, look exactly the same. Disappearing is easy for traitors, but the crew can’t afford to blink.

RISK OR STAY HIDDEN

Every action is a choice… and every choice has consequences... Quietly complete your objectives or or unleash chaos when the timing feels just right.

CONTROL TERMINAL

Passenger Audit Terminal reveals traitors and can be accessed from almost anywhere. If the crew hacks it, traitors are exposed for a short time. Keep it under control otherwise... CHHAAAOOOSS!!

FUN WITH FRIENDS

Sabotage, chaos, betrayal. When it is over, what is left is fun. Just do not ask why someone is dancing while the ship is sinking. Warning! The lobby is not a disco or dance area BTW!

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI was used to create a small portion of the in-game soundtrack. Specifically, 3-4 music tracks played via an in-game 'boombox' tool were generated using AI. All other assets, including 3D models, code, and gameplay mechanics, have been created manually without the use of AI.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Pigmarines contains cartoonish violence and stylized blood effects during combat and player eliminations. The game does not feature any sexual content, drug use, or extreme gore. All visual effects are designed to fit the game's animated art style.
