Why Early Access?

“There is a lot I want to add to this game. I set as high a standard as I could for myself when creating it. Honestly, there is a world where I could have released it in its current state as version 1.0, but I want to know what people think and would like to see more of. I'm nowhere near done with this game, and I want to add a lot more before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will likely fully release in mid-2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game, in and of itself, is mostly here. It has the main gameplay loop, a lot of areas, enemies, mechanics, and everything else in between; the full version will simply be larger. I want to expand on as much as I can, on top of entirely new features. Based on the feedback I get, I'll know what I should add first.”

“100 Items (20 in each category: blue, green, orange, purple, and red).
96 Achievements (80 of which unlock Items mid-run).

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will probably stay as it is forever. I may bump it up around 33% on the 1.0 release if I feel it's worth that much, but that would only be if the game truly amassed a mountain's worth of content worthy of a price bump.”

About This Game

Escape from the core of a spider-infested planet, gathering the scraps of your torn-apart ship and crew to survive as you forcefully fight waves of enemies to escape. Though you were never supposed to land, remember what you came here for... This planet's complete and total eradication.

About the game

Undelve is a 2D Looter Shooter all about the balance between two things: your items, which give you both passive and active buffs, and your matter, which is what most weapons use to reload their ammo. Without items, you won't be strong enough to escape, but without matter, forget about reloading your gun.

As you explore through spider-infested tunnels, find the explosive mines littered around the world left by your ship, charge them up, and obliterate each zone one by one till no spider remains; however, each area has increasingly wild enemies that you must learn to adapt to.

With multiple endings, the way to victory is up to you...

There are a dozen characters to pick from, all with unique loadouts, including different starting weapons, items, and special "dash" abilities. Each character has a favorite playstyle and leans towards some item builds, but if you're determined or lucky enough, any character can flourish with any item synergy. Start with the Commando and unlock the other 11 characters over time via Steam achievements.

With 100 items, 20+ weapons, and many more consumables, no two runs will ever be the same.

88 of the items (all but blue tier) are unlocked via Steam achievements and are instantly added to your game the moment the achievement is achieved, no need to restart the run for it to enter the item pool.
