What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to ship a playable core and iterate in public. Explovival lives and dies by balance: the garbage→cleanup→resource loop, the foraging loop, and how the buddy drone executes player-planned tasks. Early Access lets us tune these systems with real data and community feedback, then prioritize co-op and base systems based on demand.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Our best estimate is 6–12 months. Scope decisions (co-op depth, base/mineshaft system) may extend this window.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to expand and refine the experience:

Drone & tasking: robust task manager, smarter queueing, QoL (batch operations, priorities).

Base (mineshaft): underground base loop (power, storage, upgrades), integration with cleanup progress.

Co-op (optional): shared task lists, permissions, proximity UI.

Progression: upgrades for drone & raccoon, weather/season synergies, new hazards.

World content: additional biomes/POIs, more garbage sets & plant varieties, events.

Meta & polish: achievements, online Hardcore leaderboard, optimization, accessibility, controller support.
(We won’t promise specific dates/features; we’ll publish a public roadmap and adjust with the community.)”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Playable core with:

Exploration of a ~4×4 km island (beach → forest → volcano).

Weather & seasons (MVP).

Foraging (harvest/consume plants).

Buddy drone with basic task list (discover/mark/clean garbage, hauling basics).

Garbage cleanup with visible island progress.

Limited UI (appears only when you call the drone).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect the price to increase by full release as content and systems expand. We may make incremental adjustments during EA. Early supporters keep their purchase and Red Panda bonus.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Public roadmap and polls on the Steam hub (priorities for co-op, base, Hardcore tweaks).

Regular builds & changelogs (aiming for weekly/biweekly) and telemetry-informed tuning.

Forums & Discord for bug reports, balance feedback, feature requests.

Occasional experimental branch for opt-in testing of larger changes.”

About This Game

Explovival – not just another survival

Paws & Circuits is a cozy eco-survival game about a wounded raccoon, his drone buddy, and a trash-covered 4×4 km island. Clean up human leftovers, recycle resources, and gather seasonal plants to survive changing weather and four distinct seasons – without loot grind or stress survival.

Live with the seasons, not against them.

Food doesn’t just respawn – it follows the year:

  • Strawberries start as blossoms in spring and only turn into juicy fruit in summer.

  • Carrots grow through summer and can be pulled from the ground in autumn and early winter.

  • Other plants, mushrooms, herbs and berries have their own short seasons – miss the window, miss the meal.

Play by senses, not by bars

You don’t stare at HUD bars – you play by what you see and hear:

  • Your stomach growls when you’re hungry.

  • Your movement gets heavy when you’re injured.

  • You slow down and start looking for water when you’re thirsty.

When you need exact numbers, you call your drone. It brings up a HUD on demand – when you’re done, the UI fades and the world fills the screen again.

Core Features

  • New sub-genre “Explovival” – focused, cozy survival without loot and dopamine spam.

  • Buddy drone with a smart task system: scan, mark, clean up, and carry trash.

  • Cleaning trash = visible island progress – the more you recycle, the more the island changes.

  • Weather, time of day, and four seasons with seasonal plants and food.

  • Hand-crafted 4×4 km island: beach, forest, volcano, dynamic weather.

  • Minimalist UI – HUD only appears when you call your drone.

  • Optional hardcore mode (1 in-game day ≈ 24 minutes, permadeath, gravestone save, later leaderboard).

  • Singleplayer first; co-op planned depending on community feedback.

  • Early-supporter bonus: playable red panda variant.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI usage (development & marketing only).
Paws & Circuits: Reboot Earth does not generate content live in-game and does not accept user prompts or inputs. During development, generative AI was used as a supportive tool (e.g., for concept iteration, text drafts, a few placeholder voice lines, and select marketing assets and occasional placeholder textures). All outputs were manually reviewed, edited, and curated. The shipped content is static, non-interactive, and contains no live AI and no user-generated content.
If any assets are flagged via Steam’s reporting tools, they will be removed or replaced promptly. Over time, placeholders will be gradually replaced with hand-crafted assets.

Content notice: Themes of environmental pollution/cleanup and survival (possible death by cold/starvation). No combat, no graphic violence.
