About This Game

The Y2K fever is running high as you near the end of 1999. While sitting at your computer, right before the new millennium starts, you have been tricked into installing a virus and it has now taken control your computer. Worse even- it's forced you into playing the game of Iskabon. The only way to get your computer back is to win at the game.

Iskabon is a roguelike deckbuilder where you are tasked with reaching a target score with a limited number of hands to play. As you progress, you build up your deck with newer cards that you unlock while playing. Some cards affect other cards, some let you score higher, and some may even break the game.

But...Be careful of the one card: The Iskabon!

Every hand starts with a fixed number of Iskabons- avoid picking them. You can buy special Item cards that grant you one-time power-ups to aid in doing so. Guess wrong and Iskabon will destroy all cards in your hand. Get hit by 5 Iskabons during a run- and it's game over! Your computer will reboot and you will have to start the run from beginning.

Each hand ends with you playing the cards you have picked. Your goal is to reach the target score before you run out of hands to play. But if you fail to reach the target, not all is lost. You will retain your upgraded and updated deck of cards when you embark on a new run!

Your hand is made up of two types of cards: Clubs♣️ and Diamonds♦️

• Clubs♣️are scoring cards as their values are added to the total score directly.

• Diamonds♦️cards, on the other, hand affect cards to their right- triggering compounding effect. Be sure to reorder cards to maximize their impact, trigger synergies and score big. 

The more cards you play the more cash you earn. The more risk you take the more you score. But you also risk losing it all. The best strategy is the one that works.
