Shadows of War II reimagines modern kinetic conflicts as a paced side-scrolling real-time strategy game where tactics, timing, and destruction define victory or defeat.

Choose your allegiance from four armies. Each fields the same core arsenal of six unit types, and each unit has its own strengths and weaknesses, be it health and armor, firepower, range or speed:

Call in devastating Support Strikes, from precision cruise missiles over artillery barrages to bombing runs, that can turn the tide in an instant or be a complete waste of money and resources.

Pick one of five unique commanders, each offering three exclusive abilities or elite units. Tailor your strategy to your playstyle, whether you favor overwhelming firepower, surgical strikes, or defensive resilience.

Engage in six distinct gameplay modes that keep every match dynamic and tense. Push the front line, adapt to enemy counters, and claim victory through relentless pressure.

• Conquest: hold the flags and drain the enemy's tickets

• Base Destruction: break the enemy base with direct fire

• Capture the Flag: carry the flag into the enemy portal

• Attrition: end the match with more money than your opponent

Each of your own units, support strikes or abilities will cost you. The destruction of your enemies is for your gain, so remember to manage your economy and keep an eye on morale, as there is more than one path to victory.

Build your own battlefields. Sculpt it the way you want it to be in the map editor and play it in all available game modes or settings. Rain turns the ground to mud where vehicles bog down, and shells dig deeper craters. Snow ices the slopes so vehicles slide and recoil harder, and infantry wade through drifts. Sandstorms blind every unit, worst in the gusts, and throw artillery and strikes off their mark.

• Maps: Battle across eleven handcrafted maps with distinct shapes and slopes, dive into endlessly fresh procedurally generated maps, or play your own creations from the map editor.

• Environments: Every skirmish plays out with procedurally generated vegetation, towns, mountains and skies, from day to night, ensuring no two conflicts ever look or feel the same.

• Destructible Terrain: Level defenses, crater the battlefield, bring down bridges and reshape the frontline with your firepower.

• Online Multiplayer: Grab a friend and test your strategic abilities or auto match with other players.
