Ghost Hunter is a co-op horror escape game for 1–4 players. As the owner of a supernatural agency, you accept ghost-related cases and carry out cleansings. You’ll need to choose your gear wisely, and you can tackle the cases solo or team up with others to survive and succeed.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We hope to refine the core horror experience and cooperative investigation gameplay of Ghost Hunter together with the community during Early Access. These elements need to be continuously adjusted—including difficulty, pacing, audio scares, performance, and network stability—based on real player feedback.

Throughout Early Access, we will optimize matchmaking and online experience, balance the evidence system and ghost AI, add new maps, new ghosts, new items, and new mission types, while also fixing issues on an ongoing basis. Our goal is to achieve a more stable state for the horror atmosphere, investigation flow, and replayability before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate that Early Access will run for about 8–10 months, allowing us to fully develop and polish all intended features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will include core first-person cooperative investigation and escape gameplay, along with basic ghost-hunting equipment. For the full release, we plan to expand upon this foundation with more haunted locations, ghost types and behavior patterns, items, and mission objectives, while further improving online stability, voice/audio atmosphere, performance optimization, difficulty and pacing balance, as well as more complete progression and replayability content. We also plan to refine controls, UI prompts, matchmaking/team‑up experience, and horror atmosphere presentation based on player feedback. Specific content and schedules will be adjusted according to development progress and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Ghost Hunter already delivers a complete core gameplay loop, allowing players to experience the full cycle from base preparation → hunting missions → progression rewards. Currently implemented features include:

1. Full Character Controls
Players have full control over the protagonist, including smooth movement, melee/ranged attacks, use of various ghost‑hunting items (e.g., traps, holy water, UV lights, etc.), and activation of unique character skills – all core combat interactions are fully functional.

2. Complete Hub Base System
Outside of missions, players return to the base for rest and upgrades. The base currently offers:

Item Shop – purchase consumables and advanced equipment with in‑game currency.

Mission Board – accept contracts with varying difficulty and objectives.

Base Upgrades – invest resources to unlock better shop items and facilities.

Skill & Ability Upgrades – spend resources to enhance active skills and passive talents.

3. Replayable Mission Flow
Once inside a mission, players experience the full gameplay loop (exploration, tracking, ghost confrontation, objective completion) and can take on specific challenges (e.g., speed runs, collecting paranormal evidence, etc.) within each level.

4. Closed‑Loop Economy & Progression
Rewards earned during missions (from objectives and ghost eliminations) are converted into in‑game currency upon returning to base. This currency is then used for base upgrades and item purchases, creating a clear and satisfying sense of progression.

All the above systems are already implemented and stable. We are continuously improving the experience and adding new content on top of this solid foundation.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the price after Early Access ends.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe that community feedback is the most powerful driver for making Ghost Hunter better. To ensure our players truly shape the game’s direction, we have established multiple communication channels and commit to translating feedback into tangible in‑game changes. Here is our plan:

1. Primary Communication Channels (monitored daily)

Steam Community Forums – our main hub; we read every post and actively reply to constructive suggestions.

Official Discord Server – for real‑time discussions, group finding, and immediate bug reports.

Official Email – for detailed bug reports and longer feedback.

2. How the Community Will Influence Game Direction (Our Promise)
We don’t just listen – we act. Community input will directly affect three key areas:

Balance Tuning – skill numbers, item prices, and ghost difficulty will be adjusted based on actual player experience and data.

Development Priorities – we will run regular polls to let the community vote on which new maps, ghost types, or items to develop next.

Quality‑of‑Life Improvements – any annoying controls, confusing UI, or pain points with high community demand will be prioritised for fixes.

3. Transparent Update Feedback (Weekly Sync)
We plan to release updates at least once a week. In every patch note, we will include a dedicated section called “From the Community” – clearly listing which changes (e.g., a skill buff, a bug fix, a UI tweak) were directly inspired by and implemented based on your specific suggestions. This way, every player who shares their thoughts can see their impact in the game.”
