About This Game

The card game you know. The rules you don't.

New Rule starts as a game of Président (also known as President or Scum): be the first to empty your hand, beat the last play, start a revolution to turn the strengths upside down.

Then the game ends, and the table votes. Three twists are drawn among thirteen, everyone picks one, and the winner joins the rules, up to seven at once, each new one then taking the place of another. Game after game, the rules pile up into a game nobody planned.

Twists that change everything

• Poker Face: give your tax cards… or bluff and keep your best ones, if the receiver doesn't call it.

• Gamble Addict: before leading a round, pull the lever and bet on a joker. Win, and it's yours. Lose, and every joker of your hand is gone.

• Omerta: the two worst ranked players secretly choose to snitch on each other or stay silent.

• Uprising: revolutions of five cards or more, and each extra card lets you discard one.

• Sealed Fate: one of your cards is dealt face down. You'll find out what it is… eventually.

• Dynasty: win three games in a row to rule the table, and watch everyone try to bring you down.

• Moonrise: a fifth suit, the moons, joins the deck. Quadruples, and revolutions, come easier.

• Volte-face: the turn order flips with every new round, clockwise, then counterclockwise.

• …and secret twists, that only show up at the tables that find them.

Play with your friends

• Online games from 3 to 7 players.

• Invite your Steam friends to a private table, or join a public one.

• Quick to learn: if you've ever played Président, you already know how to play. If not, the rules page shows every rule in action.
