About This Game

The Tavern at the End of the Road is a first-person roguelike deckbuilder set in a dark fantasy world where each run is the memories of a life flashing before your eyes. Travel north along the Road, face brutal enemies through tactical combat, and discover whether your Errant was forgotten or became Legend.

Each Turn is a Tactical Puzzle

Each card can be used to attack, defend, generate resources, or discard it to activate a special ability. Enemies foretell their actions, and you must solve the puzzle presented using the tools availble. Uneeded cards become resources or transformed into alternate effects.

Sequence carefully and adapt to the hand you are dealt.

Read Your Enemies

The Road is haunted by failed heroes, bigger-than-life monsters, and mythical creatures twisted by old sins. They are dealt cards too.

Cards whow their intentions. Prepare defenses, interrupt dangerous moves, or strike before it is too late. Victory comes from reading patterns, managing risk, and learning from death.

The Road Remembers

Terrible choices broke the world. Yours may make it irreparable or begin to mend it. Decisions unlock new paths, change builds, items, encounters, and shape the characters and corners of The Road.
