Explore the Depths

Descend level by level into the heart of the mine using a rusted, creaking elevator. Each floor is procedurally generated from a variety of handcrafted rooms and passageways, ensuring no two descents feel the same. As you progress, the environment grows increasingly hostile—what begins as a derelict mining operation soon transforms into a descent through Hell itself. Face scorching lava-filled chambers, methane-choked tunnels ready to ignite and flooded corridors where every breath counts. Each biome brings new challenges, dangers and mysteries waiting to be uncovered.

Hazards are plentiful—and fatal. What was once a safe path can become a deadly trap after a sudden earthquake shifts the mine’s unstable foundations. Some traps can be repaired or disabled, while others must be avoided at all costs. One wrong step—and death awaits.

Something in the mine feeds on darkness. The longer you stray from the light, the more corruption takes hold—gnawing at your mind and distorting your senses. Reality begins to waver and not everything you see—or hear—can be trusted. Some who came before tried to fight it, leaving behind fragments of a failed cure. Stay in the light. Find the truth. Your Only Safe Haven

Scattered throughout the mine are abandoned fire barrels—vital for establishing temporary camps. Once lit, these camps become your only refuge from the dangers below, but keeping them active requires constant fuel. Camps allow you to sleep and recover, craft essentials using specialized items and store excess supplies in expanded storage for later use.

Pack Smart, Survive Longer

You begin with a minimalist backpack—just enough space to carry the essentials. Unpacked items are readily accessible, while packed items can’t be retrieved until you return to your camp. As you explore, you’ll find backpack expansions that can either increase your unpacked storage or add specialized compartments for specific item types. Your survival hinges on this extensive yet restrictive backpack, where every choice matters.

The Cure Lies Below

Strange flora thrives in the mine. Using specialized equipment at your camp, you’ll harvest, press and refine it through a multi-step process. Identifying each plant’s properties unlocks the ability to combine known extracts and craft powerful medicine. Combine bulbs from different flora to grow entirely new strains in a makeshift planter. These experiments may be your only hope against the corruption spreading through the mine.

Learn by Doing

The mine doesn't offer handouts—only experience. Every action you take improves a corresponding skill: pack items to hone your Packing skill or cook meals in the Cooking Pot to sharpen your Cooking knowledge. As you level up each skill, you’ll unlock unique benefits—from crafting more nourishing meals to expanding your inventory limits. The deeper you go, the more you’ll need to rely on what you’ve learned.
