About This Game

The ENDLESS BACKGATE is a survival horror roguelite game where you must confront Anomalies and eliminate all Missing Posters.

Players are assigned as Field Monitors to a dark passage called the BACKGATE. Trapped within this deep, harsh facility, you must survive to see the next day by clearing the assigned quota of Missing Posters. Utilize every method possible to complete the increasing daily quota and survive the environment overrun by Anomalies. And remember: on the 6th day, you may finally be free.

Anomaly Manual and Countermeasures

This facility is a crucial SARRAS Corp. site where research on ██ and █ ██ was conducted, resulting in the emergence of various Anomalies that are fatal to humans. These Anomalies have diverse mechanisms, and each has its own specific countermeasure, documented in a manual created after countless trials and errors. Read the manual carefully, understand the Anomalies, and know how to deal with them.

Something Beyond the Door

Due to the successful research of SARRAS Corp., many disappearances occur near the facility, making it necessary to frequently post Missing Posters. To prevent conspiracy theories and rumors arising from the countless Missing Posters, the Head Office dispatches Field Monitors. The simple task is to remove the Missing Posters that appear through one of the five doors, but these doors can also bring forth Anomalies or hostile creatures, causing problems. It is up to the Monitor to safely clear the assigned quota.

Two-Person Co-op Operation

The operation is conducted by a two-person team, and the player will work with their partner. The bot will perform tasks that the player is supposed to do. It will follow the player, open doors to search for posters, and notify the player of the location of supply boxes or Anomalies. Perhaps it can even do more.

Goal: Duty and Survival

To ensure the Field Monitors can safely carry out their duties in the BACKGATE, which is fraught with all kinds of threats, the Head Office has authorized the partial use of internal tools and resources. After all, the company always cares about the safety of its employees. Utilize the 15 types of items and systems that can help you survive, and complete your tasks flawlessly.
