About This Game

Be the owner, not just the manager. Campsite Architect is a vacation park sim where you control your own character and try to survive running a vacation park. Build, hire staff, manage guest expectations and survive the seasons on a small island where nothing ever goes quite as planned.

Roleplaying business simulator

In most management games you are an invisible manager, but in Campsite Architect, you are a character with your own needs, skills, and limits. If a pipe bursts at 3 AM, you will have to get out of bed, and if the budget is really tight, you might even end up scrubbing the toilets yourself. Your physical presence matters. You're the one greeting guests, solving problems and running around when things go wrong. Running a park can get stressful. If you push yourself too hard, you'd better hope your staff can keep things together.

Buildings don't magically appear

Design your layout first, then materials will arrive, call in a construction crew and watch your builders get to work. Make sure you plan ahead or you will be explaining to a grumpy camper why their shower block is still a pile of bricks. Don't forget to map out your water, gas, and electricity grids, or your perfect layout will stall before it even starts.

Expand your park, manage your guests

You start with a handful of basic tent pitches, but if you are ambitious you can work your way up to luxury cabins, premium lodges, or even a spa and restaurant. But be aware that the luxury seekers come with higher expectations! From backpackers and hikers to families and seniors, everyone arrives with their own standards and patience threshold.

Hire staff with real lives

Every staff member and guest has their own personality and traits. Sometimes that creates interesting situations, sometimes complete chaos.

Weather and seasons matter

Manage your money across the year, you'll have to make sure the good season pays for the one that follows. In the high season the park will be full but the hardest part is to keep them all happy and unhappy customers don't pay.  In mid season, the amount of bookings will depend on your reputation. But you'll have time for some side activities such as fishing or gardening. And in the winter, you have the choice: you can close the park and skip the season all together, you can focus on expanding and building. Or you can open, but don't expect to make any net profit.

Bureaucracy & Risks

Expand through permits. Want to serve alcohol? Apply at the island council. Whether they approve it in a week or a month depends on the mayor’s mood. Want to skip the paperwork? You can always just go ahead and pray the inspectors don't notice. Sometimes you get away with it; sometimes the fine wipes out your entire summer season. You choose the risks you want to take.

About the Developer

Coming from the Rimworld modding community, I started Sunberry Island as an experiment in making a hospitality management sim with a cozy touch.

If that sounds like your kind of game, the best thing you can do right now is add it to your wishlist.
