What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“To involve the community early and to help shape the game before the full release. While the core is playable and fun, the aim is to get player feedback during the early stages.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Ideally the game will be in Early Access for about 6-12 months; however, this may change depending on player feedback and development progress”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version aims to bring more classes, races and maps for players to enjoy. Depending on player feedback and interest, some parts might take priority over others. The goal is to expand the game on the already built foundations and add new features and gameplay.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Players can interact with the world, other players and core gameplay in a way that demonstrates the direction the game is taking. Features are stable but currently in a state of continuous improvement. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There is currently no plan to raise the price. It's important that the game remain accessible to a broad audience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There is a discord! Come check it out, connect with other players and give us feedback.”

About This Game

Collect resources, process materials, and construct a village from the ground up and make it thrive.

Villages are built by the player every time they log in, but there is a blueprint system to make rebuilding faster. Earning gold also allows the player to skip collecting resources every time since gold acts as a universal resource. Villages let players build all the buildings that are useful to them, but they can also be a way to show off your progress or your creativity.

Reign of Victory is a small multiplayer RPG with unique classes. Each class has it's own goals and abilities.

There are some short quests designed to help players understand their classes more, walking players through the basic mechanics of the game and creating lore around a few key NPCs.

-Villagers have a focus on collecting resources in a cozy gameplay style, they are immune to damage from other players (and cannot damage other players) making them PvE only when it comes to combat. They collect resources with a caravan, process those resources at work stations, and build their village.

Resource collection keeps you just busy enough to get into a flow state. Each resource can be processed into a secondary version.

-Outlaws can steal from caravans, storages, and NPC locations, then use stealth and agility to escape with the loot before it can be recovered by other players.

Outlaws are the only ones that can steal, they can then sell the stolen goods at an NPC fence. An expanded jump distance lets them quickly escape onto rooftops away from pursuing knights or villagers. If anyone hits an outlaw, that will cause resources to return to where they were stolen from. Outlaws also have a feature where, when they crouch, their indicator will disappear from the minimap, making it easier for them to hide.

-Knights battle for control of territory in a dynamic PvP world, capturing zones and earning rewards.

Every village, regardless of who builds it, is a potential area of control for a knight. Every zone represents the ability to earn gold. Every time a village is built, destroyed or moved, the battlefield changes!

Fight dangerous NPCs and rival players in an open-world filled with conflict and opportunity.

Combat has some complexity and skill required while still relying enough on luck that it's a fairly level playing field. There are combos and different types of attacks, as well as dodges and directional blocks. Every player has a three sided combat triangle that appears when they draw their sword, as an example, if one person swings from the left, their target must block from the left.
