What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“FireBirds: Drone Simulator is launching in Early Access to give players the opportunity to participate in the game's development, test different types of military drones, and provide feedback. This helps us improve flight physics, balance combat missions, and add new features based on your suggestions.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect FireBirds: Drone Simulator to stay in Early Access for roughly 12 months. During this time the game will be regularly updated with new maps, enemies, drones, and missions; we plan the first major content updates around 6 months after launch. The exact timing will depend on development progress and feedback from the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of FireBirds: Drone Simulator will include new flight maps, more aggressive enemies who will try to shoot down your drone, additional drone types (ground: shooters, miners, evacuation, ammunition delivery), as well as expanded combat missions and another training map. We plan to continuously improve flight physics, add new scenarios, and expand drone control capabilities.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the game includes several maps for combat and training missions, basic types of drones (aircraft, FPV, bomber, interceptor and correction), basic flight physics, weather conditions, day and night cycles, night vision, and the ability to fly on fiber optics. Additionally, a well-thought-out and comprehensive obstacle system, various weapons and targets, as well as a training mode have been implemented.

Players can control drones both on training maps to hone their flying skills and on combat maps, striking enemy targets with various types of weapons.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the price of the game after Early Access ends. Everyone who buys FireBirds: Drone Simulator during Early Access will receive all updates and the full version at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively engage the community through Steam forums, social media, and surveys so that players can provide feedback on balance, flight physics, drone types, enemies, and maps. Players will be able to suggest ideas for new missions, drones, and combat scenarios, as well as test updates in the early stages. Community feedback will be taken into account when prioritizing additional features and improvements.”
