What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I'm releasing Good Children Say Grace episodically through Early Access to develop the game alongside the community. Player feedback will help refine earlier episodes while I work on later ones. I'm currently planning five episodes total, with Episode 1 launching in October 2025.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I estimate late 2026 or early 2027, but this depends entirely on how many iterations each episode requires based on player feedback. I'll adjust development timelines as needed to ensure quality.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to create interconnected episodes where choices cascade throughout the story. My current goal is five episodes reaching a complete conclusion, though this may evolve based on what works best during development and community reception.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Episode 1 will be fully playable at Early Access launch in October 2025. I plan to implement all core gameplay systems and complete the starting branching narrative structure.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to start at a lower Early Access price with potential increases as I add content. My current intention is for early purchasers to receive all future episodes at their buy-in price. I'll announce any pricing changes in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'll engage through regular community posts and feedback channels. Understanding which story branches resonate and how players approach choices will directly influence my development priorities.”

About This Game

Good Children Say Grace is a first-person psychological horror adventure set on a remote Soviet island in the 1980s.

Dear Diary,

Day 1: The ship arrived with Amelia. My new sister. Sacrificed in the church shortly after.

Night 1: Amelia kneeled before a crucified chicken in my home. No memory of being killed.

Day 2: Naval blockade... No more supplies for the island.

Day 730: The food ran out :(

The red egg watches.

IT REQUIRES SUSTENANCE.

  • First-person exploration with branching narratives

  • Story-rich nonlinear gameplay

  • Dialogue and movement-based decision systems

  • Psychological horror focused on family, love, boredom, hunger, and loneliness

  • Multiple routes and endings based on your choices

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

I am currently evaluating which AI technologies to incorporate into the game. All existing artwork was created by human artists, and no assets are AI-generated. Voice narration and character dialogue will likely use ElevenLabs AI voice synthesis.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Good Children Say Grace is a psychological horror game not intended for all audiences. It contains depictions of violence, death, family dysfunction, emotional manipulation, psychological trauma, and non-graphic depictions of suicide. Players uncomfortable with themes of dysfunctional family relationships, psychological horror, or emotional intensity should proceed with caution. The specific themes encountered depend on player choices and which narrative route is played.
