About This Game

You are Cipher Agent Alex Yates stationed aboard a remote base on the edge of charted space, Eremite Station. Though small, the Cipher Division is responsible for intercepting and decoding messages from several factions. This position is largely administrative as the Alliance has enjoyed peace with its neighbors for over a century. However, should a conflict break out, Eremite Station may just find itself at the center of it.

Cipher Division is a narrative driven, puzzle game set in a distant sci-fi future where choices matter. Progress the story by decoding substitution ciphers, reading the news-casts to learn about galactic events, and conversing with your fellow crewmates.

Interstellar messages encoded via substitution ciphers are intercepted from neighboring factions by Eremite Station. As a Cipher Agent, your job is to decode the transmissions using the tools at your disposal. As you decode the messages, the secrets they hold will be revealed.

Though on the edge of charted space, Eremite Station houses a modest crew of individuals each with their own stories and motives. Through conversations via your terminal, you will learn about your crewmates and how their stories are unfolding within the station’s walls. Gaining their trust through your interactions will provide you with additional information and opportunities as the narrative progresses.

The choices you make aboard Eremite Station matter. How you speak with your crewmates, who you trust, who you believe, these choices will lead to unique outcomes and affect the world around you.
