What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to build on the current playable experience with feedback from real matches, expand the game's character content, and improve multiplayer stability. Early Access will help us identify issues across different group sizes, room rules, and network conditions, and use that feedback to guide development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last approximately two months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game's character content and continue improving balance, multiplayer stability, and overall polish. The details may change as development progresses and we receive player feedback; we are not committing to a fixed number of additions at this stage.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version implements the core match flow, including standard games, custom room rules, day and night actions, discussion and voting, voice chat, and a post-match review. Character content, multiplayer stability, and parts of the player experience are still being refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently have no plans to increase the price of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can share bug reports, match feedback, and suggestions for character content in the Steam Discussions. We will use this feedback to prioritize fixes and development, and share significant updates and progress through Steam announcements.”

About This Game

Pull up a chair. Everyone at this table has something to hide. VOICES LIE is an online social deduction game played over voice chat: each player takes a hidden role, and some of them are working against you. Talk, listen, and vote—then find out who was telling the truth.

Say just enough

When it's your turn to speak, the whole table listens. Share what you know, hold something back, or tell a story that sends suspicion somewhere else. A convincing voice can clear a friend—or cover for an enemy.

Then the table votes

Every vote is a judgment call. Vote out the right person and your side breathes easier. Vote out the wrong one, and you've done the liars' work for them.

The Night keeps its secrets

When the lights go down, hidden roles act where no one can see. Morning puts the results on the table, and every claim from yesterday has to hold up against them.

The truth comes out

When the match ends, every role and key action is revealed. Look back at the voices you trusted. Were they telling the truth?

Your table, your rules

  • Built-in text chat for when you'd rather type
  • Online or LAN: invite friends through Steam, or play on a local network
  • Your own rules: start from a preset, or choose the roles, speaking and action timers, and voting rules
  • A noir cast of characters, each with their own look and story
